About This Peoria Ultimate Backyard
These Peoria homeowners were looking for a geometric pool with a linear design and contemporary feel. Replicating design elements from inside the home was also important, so that it could be a seamless environment for entertainment. These Peoria residents love to entertain, so creating a large and elegant outdoor kitchen with a bar top was a priority.
This eye-catching backyard design is stunning from all angles. The combination of contemporary design along with the materials selected really set this backyard apart. The focal point created by our design team is one of a kind; encapsulated by the view of the geometric perimeter overflow spa, pool and open water wall with a fire feature. The ultimate backyard also incorporates a beautiful fireplace, outdoor kitchen and tiled roof shade structure with the bar for entertainment. This backyard exudes a resort feel with multiple areas to entertain and relax in style.
A Geometric Pool & Perimeter Overflow Spa
This elegant 36 ft geometric pool is framed by a long raised wall that houses stunning water and fire features. Moroccan Mist stacked stone encompasses the front of the water wall and runs the length of the pool, which creates an incredibly refined look. A bench seat sits 18” under the water and runs the length of the pool, offering plentiful seating and entertainment possibilities. Two resort style circle tables sit on either side of the waterwall, with built in bar stools and umbrella holes in the tables. A 48” Smooth Flow Scupper disperses an even flow of water into the pool, adding an elegant ambiance. The fire feature is 14” long adding another design inspiration and luxurious touch.
The pools’ Electric Blue Sea Glass Pebble with double abalone interior creates a dynamic blue color in the pool. The Volcanic Rock waterline tile has an exquisite variation in its’ color range and pairs beautifully with the Electric Blue Sea Glass Pebble. There are several tile accents in the pools’ design, all featuring the 1×1 design of Volcanic Rock tile. It is seen on top of the bar table tops, along the edge of the pool bench, along the top of the pool steps and on all the exterior surfaces of the spa.
The perimeter overflow spa sits in the perfect focal point of the backyard. The spa is covered in 1×1 Volcanic Rock tile that adds an inspiring design pop! The 9ft x 9ft spa offers other design flairs as well with its’ sit and spin functionality, the smooth overflow of water, the matching interior tile accents and bubbler water feature.
Incorporating Design Elements Throughout The Yard
This ultimate backyard features multiple areas for entertainment, recreation and relaxation. These Peoria residents created the perfect environment for outdoor desert living. Over 3,000 sqft of Boulevard Light Tumbled Travertine ties the backyard together with decking and step pads.
The decking that surrounds the pool and spa is a brilliant combination of travertine step pads and artificial turf. The geometric pads are rotated and provide another stunning detail when combined with the thin cuts of artificial turf.
A large fireplace located on the far side of the yard creates another destination area, especially suited for cool nights in the desert. The fireplace is flanked on either side with pillars that feature cutouts for wood storage and balance in the design. The structure is 12ft long x 5ft tall and covered on the front and sides with the Morrocan Mist Stacked Stone. Boulevard Light Tumbled Travertine Paver Caps sit on top of the pillars and chimney, tying in perfectly to the other aspects of the yard.
The ultimate outdoor living destination in this backyard is under the giant ramada, which provides 945 sqft of roof coverage. The structure is 30’ x 31.5’ and features a bartop, abundant counter space, a tv wall and a restroom. The outdoor kitchen with a built-in bbq is just steps away as well as a dog shower that was built into the back corner of the yard.
The design elements in the contemporary clubhouse match the other stunning material selections of the project. The Moroccan Mist Stacked Stone covers the front of the raised bar. Boulevard Light Tumbled Travertine caps off the bar top, shelve bottoms and counter tops in the space. The 1×1 Volcanic Rock tile is even featured in the back of the cutout shelves of the tv wall and the backsplash of the bar counter.
The landscaping adds an element of serenity and privacy to this resort paradise. The perimeter fence of the backyard is lined with ficus trees, palo verde trees and hopseed bushes that provide a color pop and added privacy. There are 11 trees, 41 shrubs, 45 groundcover plans & 40 accent plants that are dispersed between the front and backyard.
