A Pool Building Experience As Refreshing As Your New Pool

Bianca is great. Responsive and professional. I have had numerous issues with the lights and pool pump. I am glad I had cal pools build my pool strictly based on the service I receive from the service department.

California pools turned a blank canvas into a backyard oasis. Putting in a pool and renovating a full backyard is a huge undertaking but when working with them there's so much communication, an awesome online platform for approvals and fantastic team members (shout out to Scott G.) it makes the whole thing very easy. In 8 weeks we went from a dirt square to a fully functional pool with killer landscaping. Stop waiting....you deserve a pool.

Overdue review. Project manager stopped by to check if we had any issues since pool completion late AUG 22. We were given a timeline of 9 months with an understanding it could go longer. Everyone at CAL POOL and associated trades did an awesome job at every phase of the project. Thanks to Brian for taking it from and idea to the design. Our construction manager (Jordan Thrasher) was present for every phase of construction, addressed our concerns, explained future phases, and accommodated numerous contract changes. Schedulers clearly stated upcoming schedule especially if delays were to be incurred. Awesome pool, have received many positive comments from neighbors and friends. The period from start to finish was 10 months, we were aware of possible delays for numerous reasons and some delays did occur. CALPOOL highly recommended.

We had a long wait, that darn pandemic did mess with things a bit, but when things started happening, boy did they roll with it. We have a beautiful pool and a fantastic backyard. Everyone has been so good, and easy to contact with by phone or using the app. Joel was our salesman who talked us through the whole process. Roy was our contractor when things got going. Chris, Leo, Bethany, Adriana just to name a few of the team that helped us get to the finish line. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

I cannot say enough good about our experience working with all the team at California Pools. My husband and I used them for both pool and landscape design and installation. Brian Fox, our designer, listened to everything I wanted in our design and put into action my vision for the pool and the yard. Jordan Thrasher, our general contractor, stayed on top of the job and made sure all the subs were not only completing the job accurately but in a timely manner. This review would be remiss if I did not also mention Sara Dougan. Personally, I think she is the brain behind all the operations keeping all the balls in the air scheduling subs and keeping us fully informed on what has been competed and what to expect next in the schedule. Sara has to keep everyone on schedule and never missed a beat! Lastly, Adam and Daniel, the landscape crew leads did an outstanding job on our pergola, grill and planter installation and plantings. I have recommended Cal Pools to several of my neighbors who are also considering a pool. It has been a wonderful experience working with this team of professionals.

We are very happy with our pool and the overall experience with California Pools. We looked at several other pool companies and we are really happy that we ended up going with California Pools. We started our project in April of 2021 with Les. He listened to what we wanted and really worked to create a design that fit our requirements for both the pool and the landscaping. Once we signed, things moved along. We did experience a delay when they hit hard dig about 6" down... we expected this knowing the area we're in. But after a change order for the cost of a hard dig, things progressed again. Nothing else major came up during the rest of the project and our Construction Manager, Dustin, was absolutely great to work with. He is a rockstar. He and Sara were responsive to any questions or concerns we had and worked to address them. Crews were respectful, not leaving trash behind, and friendly when we would come out to see or ask questions. This project did take a while and we did challenge Dustin as we got to May 2022 to have us in the water by Memorial Day. Dustin delivered, just in time! The landscaping really impressed us as well. The quality of the plants and trees was great, and their team has been great to work with. I've seen some of the negative reviews and want to add that a construction project like this isn't going to be turnkey. You have to be engaged. Go out and look at what's being done in your yard - ask questions, help the Construction Manager help you. They're not there every day, but you are. Understand that your yard is construction zone until complete - people will come and go. Schedules aren't always exact. Your construction manager is your best friend during this process. Be kind, be patient. If you team up with them, you'll have a great experience and end up with a great backyard.

I posted a year ago when our pool and landscaping project had just been completed about how great California Pools had been throughout the whole process. A year later I wanted to add a quick update to my post to saying my experience with the maintenance and warranty group has been equally as positive. Anytime I have called they have been friendly, responsive and professional. I had just a couple of minor items that needed to be repaired or replaced (one dead plant and a cracked tile) and they took care of them without an issue. Specifically I want to note that Chelle and Michael and been fantastic. Thank you to the entire team at California Pools.

When we had our pool designed and built 11 years ago, we chose California Pools as the builder. When we needed some renovation this year, we chose California Pools again. In both cases, we found California Pools to be superior to their competition. Every major phase of both projects was completed on schedule while exceeding our expectations. We have recommended California Pools and enthusiastically provided referrals in the past, and we will continue to do so. They have earned our loyalty.

California Pools built my pool and spa in 2012 and I was extremely happy with the design and process. They also did my design and renovation of landscaping. Both projects went very smoothly. Since then, I have used them as a resource for a lot of repairs and service requests. Recently I have been dealing with Kathy Venn in the service department for several issues. She has been responsive and so very helpful. Its wonderful to get such great customer service even this many years after the initial build.

After researching the "best pool companies" in Phoenix I settled upon three companies and received quotes. I selected California Pools and am thrilled I decided upon them!The pool was complete BEFORE the date they gave me as a finish date and they exceeded my expectations. I was particularly impressed with the communication provided on an almost daily basis during construction from Sara Dougan - she was fantastic.A job well done, I strongly recommend California Pools.

Great company, great office. Went to the Scottsdale location and my kids were excited to see activities and snacks were available instead of just another boring store with mom and dad. The name of our sales rep was Josh. He was very knowledgeable and helped us with design for our pool deck, brought up a lot of ideas and some things/materials we didn't consider at first. We ultimately went with a competitor because they were able to get the project done faster (it's the busy season) but I am very grateful to the professional and courteous staff here. Thanks Josh for all your help and we'll come back when we're ready for a hot tub and built in bbq.

California Pools completed our pool project last year in less than 2 1/2 months. We were very pleased. Only one day off schedule. This year we have had an issue with our heater. Cari Grossman has been our customer service rep and has always gotten back to us with status of issues. When no service tech's were available, our warranty manager came to get things going.Today Trevor and Manny were here to assess our problem further. They quickly diagnosed the issue and handled it. Thanks so much guys.We have had a great experience with California Pools. We highly recommend them.

We searched for quite a while to find a pool builder who would create our dream pool to centerpiece our large back yard. When my husband and I met Robby Stubbs (California Pools), we knew he was the one for us! Not only professional, but friendly and knowledgeable. He put together a plan that met exactly what we wanted which was a design envisioned by my husband and I. It is now almost complete, and I can honestly say it looks exactly as we wanted it to look, with a quality and style I knew we could rely on with California Pools. Almost 2 years with CA Pools we have found the team to still be providing stellar service and guidance on things related to our pool system. Kathy Venn , Service coordinator and Alan, technician are excellent resources and are super diligent and caring about client satisfaction. Thanks as always..

I recently experienced two cracks in my pool. Noah was quick to come out to my home to inspect, and schedule service. Due to the hot temperature, the first repair was temporary, but held up great until the weather cooperated for draining. Thank you, Noah, for your incredible service and follow-up.

We moved from Colorado about three years ago and did our research with pool companies before we decided on CPL for our pool, spa and landscaping for our home in Laveen, AZ. Last week a coping stone on the spa came loose and we thought we'd fix it but then we reached out to CPL and heard back the same day from Connie who seamlessly coordinated the set up and scheduling of the repair for the same week on a Saturday and then she emailed back and said they could do it a day earlier! Her communication and the workmanship of the CLP trades has been excellent. We continually get compliments about our pool and we absolutely LOVE IT ... CPL made that possible!

We recently moved back to the Phoenix area and selected California Pools & Landscape based on their bid to design and construct a small pool/spa, outdoor grill and landscaping. They completed the project ahead of schedule and within budget. The Team of Dave Grau, Nathan Reyes and Marissa Puzz were a delight to work with. The pool project turned out amazing!!Marissa is a rockstar, she quickly responded to all questions and concerns. We shopped around and had other companies give quotes. It was California Pools we decided to go with. They had great pricing and good warranties. All in all it was a good experience as we did start our pool project right when the pandemic hit. Even with that they stayed on schedule and had our pool finished in time for us to enjoy for 4th of July! Our Construction Manager Roy D. was great! He answered all our questions and addressed any issues that would come up during construction. During our final walk through with Roy we did have a few items that needed to be addressed. Roy had all the corrections made and did check back to make sure we were happy with the corrections. He would come often to the house to check on the project. He made sure we were 100% happy with our investment. Daniel A. with the landscape team, came to our house to show us how to take care of our new landscape. He took his time and was very thorough with explaining how to care of our new yard. Very nice and knowledgeable guy. Ray M. the service technician that thought us how to take care of our pool was absolutely awesome! He spent a lot of time with us as we have never owned a pool before and we were totally lost on how to maintain our new pool. He noticed our pool light was not working and alerted the office. Due to it being a holiday weekend we were not able to get it fixed until the following week. Ray knew we were having a small pool reveal for the 4th of July holiday and went the extra mile for us. He told the office he would fix the light for us. Ray went and drove to pick up the part and drove back to our house to fix it the same day. It's around a 40 minute drive from our house to the show room in Chandler. Not a quick drive. Customer service like that is what makes companies like California Pools who they are and why we would recommend them! Our scheduling manager, Valerie W. was a so great to work with. At times we had a lot of questions and she would answer them almost instantly. She would keep us up to date of where the project was and what was to come next. She would let us know if something had to be rescheduled due to crews being short staffed or whatever other issues might had come up. She kept us posted about the permits and other areas of the project as well. She was great to work with! Meghan G. did an excellent job with helping us finance our project. She gave us all options and explained everything in details to us. Brian E. project manage/designer did a really good job with the design and was easy to work with even when we made changes. Over all we are very happy with the outcome of our project. We would use California Pools for our next project. We had a great team and over all a good experience.

Paul C.CPL had two of their landscape specialists raise a valve box that had settledover time and it now looks great. They took great care not to impact surrounding plants and left the decorative landscape rocks as if they never had moved them. Nice to have this job done to our total satisfaction.Thank you CPL.

Almost one year ago we hired California Pools & Landscape (CPL) to build our dream backyard. Today (November 4, 2021) the Service Team replaced several plants and filled bared spots across the yard with additional granite/gravel. Braulio and Santos were the landscaping professionals assigned to the project. I am so grateful for their kindness, outstanding work ethic, and a focus to understand and meet customer needs. Moreover, Connie Carey, Warranty Coordinator, is the center of gravity whom maintains the service orders running smoothly and delivered on time. She is amazing, reliable, transparent, and responsive. Finally, Michael McCormick, Warranty and Remodel Specialist, works hand in hand with Connie to assure the service orders are documented according to what Is essential to deliver customer satisfaction. We are in great hands with the CPL Team. Thank you for all you do for us.

California Pools built a beautiful swimming pool for us! They had to fight through supply chain issues, material shortages and scarcity of sub-contractors but our project Superintendent, Scott Schmid, worked hard every day on our behalf! He kept us up to date on back ordered material and scheduling and if we had an issue he was right here in an instant with a solution! Thanks, Scott for your professionalism and for your calm, reassuring demeanor! We are eagerly awaiting summer!

We chose California Pools because they were willing to work with us keeping our existing splash pad. Tim was our designer and he did our design and made sure our questions were answered in the beginning. Sean was our site manager and he always followed up with anything needed in an timely manner. No complaints here and we are enjoying our pool :)

We have had Trevor out a couple times to service/repair some issues on our complex pool system. He has always been right on time or early, finishes faster than anticipated, explains what he's doing and why, and makes sure we are satisfied before he leaves.

We now have a beautiful backyard after the completion of our pool and landscaping by California Pools and Landscape. Even during COVID, the project moved along well. The subcontractors at all stages were courteous, proficient and neat. Jordan Thrasher did a fine job as our project manager. A very special and enthusiastic shout-out goes to our scheduling manager Valerie Watson. She did an excellent job scheduling the various phases of the project and keeping us informed at all times. She was very quick to answer any concerns we had, and was unfailingly courteous and kind. California Pools is VERY lucky to have her. California Pools isn't the cheapest but as they say "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." Just go with them. You can thank me later.

California Pools made this whole process easy. I fully expected the build to drag out a bit....wrong! Every team that was here struck me as actual craftsmen, as professional as anyone could hope for. Anytime I had questions I could ask anyone on the team and get knowledgeable and courteous answers. I threw a couple of order changes during the process and those were handled with apparent ease. Josh, Dylan and Alan were the face to face folks I dealt with and were/are super attentive....very much appreciated! I elected to handle the landscaping, as such, it's a "work in progress", so I'm only including a coupla pics.....for now!Thanks to the whole Cal Pools team!

I used California pools and spas for my new homes pool project. From Sept 2021 to Feb 2022. My project turned out beautiful and although there was set backs out of their control they did their best at every set to control what they could in the timeline. I love the tools they have for customers like their app where you can track progress. The biggest pro of this company that I have experienced is their warranty services. I have had a few issues and they have never questioned fixing any aspect and are always available with email. I know that I can trust them to own their work for years to come.

Cal-Pools did our remodel last year and did a great job. They where not the cheapest, but they where the best at understanding what we wanted. We were very pleased. So now I called them because I screwed up my timers and was to dumb to figure it out They sent out Gabe there service tech who solved my problem and gave me instructions for the future. I was expecting a service charge, but the tech said it was a warranty issue, (even though I screwed up) which I did appreciate, and wasn't expecting. Once again, Cal-Pools has proven to be the best and I'm so glad we chose you for our pool.
