We had an error message pop up on our screen regarding our salt cell which we clean regularly the first of every month. Called Cal Pools it did take 3 weeks to get an appointment but when Alan came out he was professional and very informative! While we had been cleaning the salt cell every month with the pressure hose but we were not letting it soak in muric acid as he showed me how to do. This was something that was not told to us upon the initial review of the system. He replaced it and made sure everything was working great and he was impressed on how well we have taken care of the pool except for this little mishap and for that there was no charge for the replacement and trip out. Though going over the system with him was very informative, i video taped the first initial review of all the working parts but several things were not spoken of/discussed at that time. I recommend doing a yearly review with customers to make sure everything is going well. Big shot out to Alan!

Very good experience working with them, especially Shelly. She's so dedicated to her work and you can tell she loves what she does. It's hard to find good quality people these days and Shelly is top notch!

From the very beginning Our experience with California Pools has been top notch. We were blown away with the exceptional design skills Cody was able to bring to life on a zoom meeting on our very first meeting. Cody was able to take every little detail and made it a reality before our eyes. I had so many compliments on how unique our pool was designed when it was still dirt and rebar. Jordan came out for the first time and answered all our questions with a realistic timeline. He always answered or returned our calls with a solution. Made sure every step of the way was paved and did what he said he would do without fail. If he didn't know the answer he found one, we were never left wondering. He kept tabs on all the projects and crews on site to keep us moving forward very quickly with a smile on his face! He was very personable. Then there was Sara! She handled all the scheduling of the project. Some days we would have 3 or more crews here and she kept them coming rapid fire it was outstanding the way it came together in such a short amount of time. Always going the extra mile to get what we needed done and at lightning speed!! Her calm friendly "Sunshine" attitude was a warm genuine experience. She always responded in the app right away with an answer or a solution. So far we couldn't be happier with our experience. I have waited my whole adult life and California Pools made my dream a reality in my back yard!!! Thank you

I previously gave California Pools a 5 Star Rating when our pool was finished the end of May. We have been enjoying it every day since. I honestly could not say enough good things about Matt W. and Sarese F. for all their involvement in our project. It is disappointing to read unflattering reviews, as that certainly was not our experience. Yesterday I contacted Sarese to tell her I needed a refresher with our pool remote. A young man by the name of Ryan was scheduled for the very next morning. He was wonderful! He took his time, explained it and worked with me until I really understood it. I was so appreciative of his patience. Our entire experience with California Pools was stellar. Matt, Sarese, Marc, Bianca and Ryan... thank you!

Pool service tech Gabe was great! He went out of his way on both his visits to our house to help us with our filter issues. He was very knowledgeable and fully explained what we should be doing going forward so that we don't have filter issues again.

Our pool was just completed, ahead of time! The whole team is very professional and effective in their communication and process. Special mention to Shannon H who was our project manager. Fantastic communicator and partner through the whole process. The quality and workmanship is top notch. Would absolutely recommend.

Ernie at California Pools in Surprise was incredible! He listened, actually listened, to us during our initial meeting. He was methodical, knowledgeable and extremely patient. Ernie never tried to upsell us, just gave us several options to take into consideration. We appreciate his honesty, integrity and transparency. So far, we've had an amazing experience! Looking forward to our continued relationship as our project begins! We recommend Ernie and the team at the Surprise office!

We were very impressed with the California Pools team and process during the design and construction phase of our pool/spa/hardscapes project 3 years ago. I must say we have been just as impressed, if not more so, with their warranty support and customer service in the 3 years following construction. It is inevitable that issues will arise after construction with any pool builder; equipment fails, construction defects present themselves, site-specific conditions lead to unforeseen issues. What is important (and rare) is finding a builder that stands behind their work, provides a solid warranty, and makes the warranty/service process a less frustrating experience for the customer. California Pools has absolutely stood behind their work, honored their warranty, and has even gone above and beyond my (admittedly high) expectations for quick, professional, and polite communication and service. I rarely leave reviews, and people in general seem much more likely to take the time to leave scathing negative reviews when they're upset than to take the time to leave glowing positive reviews when their satisfied. As such, I felt compelled to share my positive experience.

Currently building with California Pools & Landscape and couldn’t be happier with our decision! From the initial consultation with our designer, Dave, we knew we were in good hands. He brought up aspects of the yard and the functionality of the pool that showed he truly cares about us and our ultimate satisfaction with the end product. On top of it all, he’s a phenomenal designer who brought our vision to life - it’s not only a beautiful design but functional for our kids to make memories for years to come. The communication and service provided by our scheduler, Alex, and Super, Don, has exceeded our expectations. Alex has done a great job keeping us updated on the progress and upcoming work. Don is always available to answer any questions we have about the build, and his passion for getting it done the right way shows in everything he does. There’s nobody we’d trust more to build our backyard getaway!

Great experience using California pools! Mike, Tim, and Sara were awesome during the process and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly! They were thorough, attentive to detail, and addressed any questions or concerns promptly. Everything went great and we are very happy with the finished product!

We did a full remodel on our house and backyard. After meeting with 5 pool companies, we went with California Pools & Landscaping. 1) They came in very competitive (we only met with the largest and longest standing companies. 2) They were able to handle our landscaping (complete tear down and build). 3) if pricing is comparable, I always prefer the larger companies- most of the time they have more resources and support (which is very important right now). We had a 3-month delay due to the concrete shortage. From talking to other contractors (my paver guy and GC), we were lucky to get our concrete, travertine and pebbletec. Because of CA Pools size, all steps of the construction process had full crews and were very efficient (scaling, dig, pour, laying travertine, installing artificial turf). My wife and I work from home, so having a crew show up at 6am, and gone my 10am/11am was HUGE. Marc Olsen (sales), John Utz (project mgr) and Sara Dougan (scheduler) walked us through the process and addressed any questions/issues. Why is this important? Building a pool is not very common (you might build 1, maybe 2 in your lifetime.....this was my 2nd pool with CA Pools and I was still clueless). Our pool was completed Labor Day weekend, CA Pools has followed ip and addressed our questions immediately. (I called John about checking out our pump, a serviceman showed up the next day) Building a pool is an expensive and long process. A lot can happen over the 4-6 month build time (supply issues, labor shortage, etc). I strongly recommend going with the larger pool companies and definitely get a bid from CA Pools.

We just had our pool, deck and fireplace remodeled by California Pools and Landscape. In terms of communicating expectations, sticking to schedule, and resolving issues, this has been the best remodel experience we've had so far. The pool, fireplace and deck look great! We really appreciated the schedule updates and communication that Sara Dougan provided - she kept us informed regarding what to expect, kept us abreast of changes and was responsive to the issues that popped up along the way. Ron Arden was our Project Manager - he was candid in his communication through the whole project and provided great support in making sure the project turned out like we expected. We would hire them again, which is the best recommendation we can give.

We have had a great experience working with Cody R. at CPL as we remodel our backyard. His expertise in designing our yard to be functional, aesthetic and affordable is amazing. He has a great eye for detail and works to get the best final design prior to pulling the trigger. What a pleasure to work with such a professional. Thanks Cody! We look forward to a finished backyard for entertaining our large family, friends and neighbors.

Having a pool built for the first time is a very expensive and can be a very stressful process. Apparently gone are the days where you can get a decent pool for $25K. Your yard is a disaster for weeks, you're not familiar with the process, your dogs escape and go on walkabout, etc. With one small exception, my team at California Pools made the process as smooth as I imagine it can be. And the result is frankly nothing short of amazing. Our designer Stephen Reichmuth was awesome. He is truly passionate about designing pools and making your pool dreams into reality. He was always enthusiastic, open, responsive, and empathetic. Our Construction Manager, Rick Friedenbach, was just as amazing. He calmly allowed me to vent to him when another employee who shall remain unnamed called off the excavation crew because I questioned an additional cost for some buried tree stumps. He quickly got things back on schedule and stuck by us the whole time. Top notch knowledge, insight, assistance, and support. Our Scheduling Manager for the second phase, Sara Dougan, was unbelievably responsive and supportive and managed to accelerate the end of the process so we could accommodate a surprise party for a friend with a pool rather than without. A couple of things to look out for and a couple of tips. First, if you are removing trees or have removed trees where your pool will go, anticipate additional excavation costs. I wish Cal Pools had been a little bit more up front about this. When they first came out, there were 60-foot trees where the pool was going to go. They no doubt could have anticipated the additional costs associated with the stump removal. Second, Cal Pools could improve the payment collection process. They basically e-mail you the day before they want your money. When you live across town, it's not a great process. They will offer to have someone pick it up for you, but seemingly begrudgingly. No doubt they could figure out a way to organize these payments with a bit more notice and a bit more ease. Self-addressed stamped envelopes? Electronic payments? Just a suggestion. Finally, they don't include a pool fence but the law requires one. The process of trying to coordinate the pool fence installation by a third party with Cal Pools' installation schedule was a little disjointed. Even with these shortcomings, I have to give them 5 stars. The amazing customer service by the three people listed above dramatically outweighed the minor issues we experienced. They probably aren't the cheapest (but based on other quotes we obtained, they were absolutely competitive), but the smooth experience and great outcome was worth every penny.

We came to California Pools and Landscape in Chandler to begin our journey of remodeling our backyard. We were immediately set up with a designer who took all our likes, dislikes, ideas, and budget and created a backyard that we cannot wait to enjoy. Brian has been with us every step of the way, always ready to help, and we knew it would be a long process due to the pandemic but we are excited to work together with Brian and can't wait to see the results of all his hard work!

We moved here from places where pools aren't needed so this is our first experience designing and building a pool. We met with several companies and chose California Pools & Landscape which was absolutely the right choice! From the design to build and then landscape things went exceptionally well. Joshua helped us through the design process and envision what it would look like once completed. His advice and expertise resulted in a beautiful functional design that we love. The build process led by Jeremiah was always on track or even ahead of schedule. Jeremiah frequently visited the site to manage progress and answer questions. The teams who worked each phase of the build were amazing (these tasks did not look easy!) Rebecca has been an outstanding project manager always on top of schedule details and keeping us informed of progress. She also brings positive energy and finds solutions to any issues that came up. This is an excellent team of professionals we highly recommend! The pool and spa are now complete and we are finalizing some landscaping items. This pool/spa is beyond beautiful, we can't believe this is actually our yard! Thank you Cal Pools, we love love love this house and yard of our dreams!

I wanted to make sure I gave a huge shout out to David Croskey. We walked in unsure of what we wanted to do as far as the design for our new backyard and he spent the time to listen and understand who we were and what our lifestyle was like. When he was done he created our dream backyard and we couldn't have been more excited. Thanks so much for your professionalism, guidance and follow through. Can't say enough about California Pools and Landscape. Working with design planner Paul and construction manager Matt was courteous and professional from start to finish. Everything was laid out in advance, no surprises, proceeded like clockwork. When inevitable issues arose, we worked through several design changes, all without headache. Surprisingly, they even went above and beyond at times, exceeding even our high expectations. Today, we can't believe the paradise we live in, thanks to California Pools and Landscape!

We recently selected California Pools to install our pavers and extend our seating area into our backyard along with some re-grading of our yard. We found this to be an extremely easy process from start to finish, they were on time, communicated well and worked with us through a couple changes with no hassle at all We highly recommend them for anyone looking to improve their backyard living!

California Pools and Landscape came to our rescue! Another contractor left us with a half-finished project, an empty pool, and a giant mess. After seeing our disaster broadcast on 3 By-Your-Side, the owner of Cal Pools actually reached out to us and offered to help. We have done many, many construction/remodel projects over the years. Never have we worked with such a professional, organized, honest company. They truly set a new standard. Stephen, our project manager, seamlessly coordinated each aspect of our complicated redo. They have an App for your phone that provides continued updates, alerting you to when and who will be in your yard, what the steps are to complete the project etc. Each subcontractor is part of Cal Pools, so they know their aspect of the job and performs at the same high standard. Our yard is beautiful!

Trevor D. took care of my pool problem in short order and with professionalism. He was just GREAT! California Pools has always taken care of any issues that I have. I'm so glad that I had California Pools build my fabulous pool.

Cliff goes above and beyond! He is very knowlegeable. He goes out of his way to provide solutions in unique situations!!! He is easily reachable and promptly responsive. Cannot say enough great things about Cliff!

My wife and I for several years have always wanted our own pool in the backyard. Finally the time was right for us so we enlisted the help of California Pools. Ted Jimenez was the representative that California Pools sent to our house for our first meeting. I am a very skeptical person but Ted was very receptive to what my wife and I were looking for input project. He hit it out of the park with the design by both including our wants along with his ideas to create a spectacular design. Once we finalized our deal and began the project we were assigned our project manager Todd. Our project was far from perfect and had some difficulties but between Ted and Todd they were able to provide us with everything we're looking for. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the end result and all of the great service we received through the project. Many thanks to Todd, Ted and the rest of the staff who all had a hand in our pool!! I would definitely recommend California Pools!

California Pools & Landscape was my first call when scheduling appointments to meet about a pool. Sydnee scheduled me to meet with a designer and she was so helpful! She answered all of my questions and even had questions for me that I hadn’t thought about. I felt like she really was wanting to learn more about my project and what I wanted to do. Speaking to them first set the bar high and talking with other companies over the phone didn’t compare. I am excited to take the next steps in this process with Cal Pools!

We just had our new home built and selected California Pools to create our backyard oasis. Top to bottom this was one of the best experiences with any type of contracting company we've ever experienced. You've heard that communication is the key. These people over communicate. Starting with Brian and the design process we were able to realize our pool of dreams. Within days we had our design layout completed and priced. From permitting to construction we were always kept in the loop via email, phone calls and text message. Did I mention progress photos? Yep, through the whole construction phase. Delivery and orientation for our new pool was conducted, smoothly and professionally by the team of Gabe and Jason. This is a really well run company with the focus on delivering what they promised while maintaining a focus on the customer. Highly recommend.

Our experience with California Pools was awesome. From beginning to end, we couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. Joe McCoy designed our pool right in front of our eyes. (R.I.P. Joe) Darren T, Joy M., Sarese S., and Luis E. were great, they kept us apprised of what to expect next along with all schedule changes. All contractors were very informative and courteous. Last but not least was Pete B. He made himself accessible to us 24/7. His coordination and expertise is what kept this project on track. This endeavor was a juggling act and Pete kept all the balls the air. We are ecstatic with the final result and are counting down the days to summertime for that first dip in our California Pool.

California pool company is by far the best pool company in the valley. Their customer service is awesome the correspondence is great, and the workmanship Unbeatable. Please do not waste your time with any other company or build your own pool.
