Pool Point Of View – Sedella Spa & Sport

In the ‘Sedella Spa & Sport’ our design team created a stunning backyard environment for year-round enjoyment, designing multiple areas in the yard for entertainment, relaxation and recreation.
What’s Your Point Of View?
This backyard environment is centered on the spa with the raised water feature. The large travertine deck leads out to the spa, immediately catching your eye when you look out from the home. The long raised wall also pops with the vibrant stacked stone and keys into the freeform yard design.
The large circular spa serves as an ultimate outdoor destination for relaxation whether you’re sitting inside of it, or enjoying the soothing sounds of it’s water feature. The Geo Sand Pattern waterline tile wraps around the interior of the spa but really shines on the exterior. The natural elements of the tile match well with the Moroccan Mist Stacked Stone that covers the front side of the free form raised wall. The 12.5ft long wall is capped with Cienega Tumbled Travertine that matches the spas travertine coping.
The interior of the spa features our Mediterrean Sea Glass Pebble with double abalone which adds to the vibrance and sparkle of the spa. The 7’x7’ spa also features a Hayward Color Logic 320 light for safety and entertainment during the night.
What’s The Whole Yard Approach?
When designing your backyard, it’s important to consider all the aspects that are present in your home. We call this the whole yard approach and use it to ensure your pool or spa is surrounded by other functional aspects in your yard.
For the ‘Sedella Spa & Sport’, over 1,300 feet of Cienega Tumbled travertine pavers tie the project together, connecting areas for entertainment and relaxing. The bbq island is 3ft tall and offers 16sqft of countertop space with an offset field travertine design.
The sport court is the other all-star in this backyard design, located on the east side of the home for shaded afternoon hoops. The court is a brushed natural concrete finish with an adjustable basketball hoop and the key stripes and free throw line painted on the surface. This recreational sport court is a slam dunk for all ages!
This custom backyard was designed for Meritage Homes in their beautiful Sedella community located in Goodyear, AZ.
Landscaping contributes all of the finishing touches of this luxurious backyard environment. Over 700 square feet of Cal Select artificial turf surrounds the travertine decking, which adds a lush area for relaxation, entertainment or recreation. Five planters are located throughout the deck featuring accent plants and Desert Vista Brown granite.
