Infinity Pools: Negative Edge Pools & Zero Edge Pools

Imagine Your Pool’s Edge Extending Infinitely

Picture this: You’re submerged in the calming waters of your pool, looking out to the horizon and the edge of your pool seemingly carries on into the distance. This level of backyard nirvana is possible if your backyard has an ultimate view and you build a pool with an infinity edge.

Whether you call it a negative edge or infinity edge, you can enjoy the soothing feeling that your pool water is flowing over the edge like a waterfall. A zero-edge pool will also add a calming effect to your pool but is unique because, with this design, the water sits on the same level as your pool decking.

At California Pools & Landscape, we custom design every project to best incorporate the elements that are important to you and what you desire in your outdoor living environment. If this ultimate resort-style pool feature is something you’ve been longing for, we will help turn your dream into reality.

Have A Designer Bring Your Vision To Life

You Deserve Your Own Private Resort

You want your backyard to feel like your private resort; with the ability to entertain, relax and fully enjoy Arizona outdoor living. Adding an upgraded edge to your modern pool design will add a sense of tranquility to your outdoor space and help transform your backyard into your own private oasis.

Whether you imagine an infinity edge or a zero-edge for your pool, it will add a stunning flare to your modern pool design. While these edges are different, they both add a unique design element that will help your pool stand out.

You dream and we’ll handle the rest!

What Infinity Edge Inspires You?

Do you have an amazing view that you’re planning on building your dream outdoor oasis around? An infinity edge on your pool is a great way to highlight a scenic focal point in your backyard.

Whether you call it an infinity edge or a negative edge, this design element can create a dynamic visual effect and add an extra boost of tranquility. The smooth water flow from your pool to a non-traditional edge will add a resort-style element to your backyard.

If you’re looking to add some calming waters to your backyard, but it doesn’t have a one-of-a-kind view (we get it, there are only so many of those around) a zero-edge is a wonderful design addition for your pool!

Zero-Edge Pool

A zero-edge pool is designed so that the water seems to sit on the same level as your pool deck and adds an elegant touch to modern pool designs. Also referred to as a perimeter overflow pool, the water will silently flow over the edge through a small gap into a catch basin for circulation.

Negative Edge Pool

An infinity-edge or negative edge swimming pool is popular for its visual impact because the water appears to disappear like a waterfall. One side of the pool is designed to sit lower than the deck level, leading to smooth water flow over the edge.

Considering I don’t know anything about pools, they were very patient and willing to teach me what was involved, not just sell me the best pool pump! The one thing I liked most is that they have their own landscape division. Good people, good service. I’d recommend these guys to anyone.
