A Buckeye Swimming Pool Build Experience As Refreshing As The Pool Itself

Awesome job done by Mike, Marisa and Darrin! ! ! The work was done as quickly as possible, every step was explained thoroughly throughout the process, and most importantly; they listened to our questions and concerns. We have a pool that we are very proud of, and it turned out much better than we were expecting. Hats off to everyone at CalPools for an excellent job! ! !

We just had our back deck extended, built in BBQ with pergola and turf designed and completed by California Pools. The ENTIRE experience was exceptional! Everyone was professional and kind. These wonderful people made the dirt and project feel not so bad: Billy Whitmore, Rebecca Schulte, Aaron Heninger, Hunter Rode, Daniel the landscaper, and all the men working in the heat to complete our project. They all worked hard and diligently to see a successful conclusion and ensure the work was more than satisfactory. We will be calling them again for a future project. We highly recommend them to anyone for any project!

Giving this company five full stars, because they were at the mercy of the labor crews. Although it feels like it took quite a while to get a pool in my backyard, It was really really wonderful to see it come to fruition. The office staff was completely engaged and always came out scheduled times to review everything. The quality and workmanship is outstanding. In fact, it is better than my new home build from the builder! The salesman, Doug Lillis, is fantastic at his job. He was very responsive all of the time. Also, Dustin was so helpful and came out as well to attend to things. We are absolutely thrilled with the project. It may have felt like a long wait and I hope that doesn't give this company negative reviews, because even the leadership staff that I spoke with, was also very attentive and responsive.

I just had my beautiful pool finished. My experience with California Pools has been amazing. Everyone has been so friendly and attentive through the entire project. I am very pleased with the end results, from the pool design to all its features such as a water wall, bubbler on the Baja, lighting, a travertine decking and synthetic turf. They truly have created an oasis in my very own backyard!

What started out pretty rocky with California Pools really turned out to be a pleasure. Cody and Jordan really stepped up to help us get the back yard completed and done in time for a big party that we were hosting. I would highly recommend this team if you are looking for a pool builder.

We’ve had 3 pools built by California Pools. I would highly recommend them for any pool project. Having professional relationships with several pool builders, California is heads above the rest. Regardless of what other pool companies tell you, California Pools bought the patent for the in floor cleaning system (that works). Other pool builders use a much inferior floor cleaning system that simply pushes debris around. Every detail of our pool and spa were expertly thought of and their final design blew us away. Construction went good, fast. Our superintendent, Jeremiah was on sight daily, and was a super nice guy. He kept us informed, and we always knew what was happening. In an HOA with strict guidelines, they had all of their bases covered and even read the CC&R’s for our community. We didn’t need to hire a pool company to maintain the pool with the UV and ozone system. Having 3 pools with California Pools, and never had an issue, is something huge when you’re making that investment. They aren’t the cheapest priced pool company, but you’ll get what you pay for. If you’re putting in a pool, you’re already spending a lot of money and having a reliable pool that has an incredible warranty, is well worth the price difference. The only complaint that I have is that our yard slopage after the pool build wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t horrible, but I had to go out and level the backyard. I shouldn’t have signed off on the pool, but I wanted to get swimming ASAP, so that also falls on me for not asking to have that fixed. All in all, Incredibly happy with California Pools and will use them again.

Our rep presented a great plan for our build. Took the time to explain the details of the contract, warranties and the continuing aftercare for us and the work they preform. Heads above the rest.

We had a pool and landscaping performed by California Pools, Chandler. The pool is 10' wide and 30' long and was designed as a lap pool. We had travertine installed. The pool and travertine are both beautiful. The crews were knowledgeable and knew their jobs. We did have a couple of issues where workers did not show when promised but a quick phone call got them here the same day or the following day. No serious issues there. The landscape is beautiful. It melds with the pool and house nicely. The rock they used matches the rock in the front, perfectly. This was a nice surprise. They also used large screened rock, which is very nice. I would recommend them. Paul, the salesman, was very knowledgable and Steve, the supervisor, was complete and handled issues quickly and effectively.

Very good experience working with them, especially Shelly. She's so dedicated to her work and you can tell she loves what she does. It's hard to find good quality people these days and Shelly is top notch!

We are so happy with our pool and landscape! We had just moved to AZ and it was our first time having a pool. We bought a new construction and Cali Pools was able to start construction before we even closed on the house. We are so happy with Dave's vision and Cari who helped with the warranty requests. We highly recommend them. Even our pool guy complimented how nice and high quality work California Pools did.

We moved to Chandler, AZ this past summer. It was great timing on our part with all the heat, AND NO POOL to cool off in! Our backyard was just a dirt lot back then and needed the vision of a great designer and builder of pools and backyards to see what was possible. DJ from Cal Pool came to us with some great ideas and after refining the look and layout of the design, the digging started. Within less than 8 weeks we have our pool and completed backyard, and could not be happier. DJ was always available for questions or concerns and was quick to address them. Mike Smith who's the president(?) ended up leaving us a message thanking us for the business and assured us that they stand 100% behind their work and if there are any questions or concerns, to call him. Very few businesses follow up after the work is done... very old school, and I like that! I would recommend this company without any hesitation.

Our experience with California pools has been an extremely positive experience. Our pool and waterfall is absolutely beautiful. The layout and design is a view from our windows I enjoy seeing throughout my day. We enjoy our evening hours sitting with the pool lights on with the sound of the waterfall. My zen space for sure. Most importantly has been the Warranty department. Shelley has answered all my questions with such satisfactory, caring response with follow up in a timely manner. Everything I expect! From Cliff in sales and design...to Rebecca in communication and scheduling and construction Manager Robert Lory! He is so kind and made sure everything little detail was perfect! We couldn't had a better experience!!

Our pool and spa were installed by California Pools a year ago. We had an equipment issue, I contacted Leslie Monday afternoon and everything was up and running by noon on Tuesday. Great service and communication from Leslie and service from Trevor.

Just wanted to give feedback for other folks looking for a pool and landscape company, and to publicly thank the folks at CP&L. In addition to the beautifully designed pool and landscaping they installed, they exuded expertise, professionalism, and a genuine desire to make us happy, educate us, and keep us informed. We made changes along the way, and each time they were eager to discuss and help us determine the best path. Our designer Chris S. took our input, provided expert insight with respect to pool, plants, and landscape design and really delivered a beautiful, well thought out design. Our Construction/Project Manger Pete B was perfect in every way. He was meticulous in ensuring everything was done right, made himself available at all times, met with us on short notice several times, and went above and beyond to keep us happy. Myra would send us emails on a regular basis keeping us informed of the schedule, what to expect, updates on our change requests, and always returned our emails in a day or less. Lastly, our landscape expert Luis E. was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through how to care for everything and offered to come back out anytime to assist us with any problems, answer questions, or refresh us on how to care for everything. So yeah, thanks much guys. Hope this review helps pair great people with a great pool company.

We have been completely happy & satisfied with our pool since it was constructed by California Pools at our home in Sun Lakes, AZ back in the summer of 2013. Anytime we are in need of any type of service or even to have any questions or concerns addressed, the friendly, knowledgeable & personal staff at California Pools is always at the ready to help us out & to maintain an excellent company/customer level of satisfaction. Jeremy Smith has a lot to be proud of with his company & we recommend their products & service to anyone in the need of purchasing and/or maintaining their pool in top-notch condition at all times. We recently needed a pool light replaced & they did their absolute best to make certain that when all was said & done we were happy & satisfied customers. The staff (Bianca & Chelle) did their very best right from our first phone call to ensure that our needs were met in both a friendly & professional manner. The repair work was performed by trained professionals who were both punctual & precise in their work. Our pool is finally complete and we are swimming!. Awesome pool, have received many positive comments from neighbors and friends, we love it!. The period from start to finish was 10 months) but we were aware of time involved when signing the contract. We would like to give a big shout out to all involved in this project especially Nadine and Jordan, communication and coordination was awesome, crews on every phase were outstanding.. We can honestly say we had no issues with anyone or the process. 5 stars all the way

I am going on my 4th summer with our BEAUTIFUL pool that we had build with Cal Pools and have nothing but praise for the company and the quality of work! Through the years we have a couple issues with the pump & salt cell (all under warranty of course), but the team at Cal Pools were on it! Most of the time it was next day. Each time they came it, their techs were very nice & professional and would make some sort of suggestion or tip which was appreciated. There was always a follow up phone call too from the office checking in on the service work once it was complete. Most recently though I had a bit of an emergency and needed to call Cal Pools. I clean my cartridge filters & salt cell every 2 months. Last week when everything was put back together and I turned it on, I heard this noise that sounded like a blown turbine engine come from my pump. Oh no!....It was a Friday afternoon and we were having a pool party Sunday. I called and emailed the office and within about 45 minutes I spoke to Bianca who informed me she received my messages and was booked for Friday afternoon and was going to check and see if she could get someone out Saturday. I explained to her my concern for the upcoming kids pool party we were hosting and she informed me that she was going to try her best. About 15 minutes later, I received a call from Bianca telling me she had a tech that would be over in about 20 minutes. I'm sure it was past quitting time for for most of their employees too. Todd showed up and checked out my equipment and informed me the drive to my VSP (variable speed pump) was dead and would need to be replaced. Todd told me it wouldn't be fixed until next week sometime and didn't know how much it would cost. I was worried about the sitting water I would have over the weekend and into next week and Todd commented on how great the pool looked and the quality of the water. I was quick to credit him and his employees for the valuable suggestions when it came to maintenance of the pool and follow their suggestions. Todd suggested I put some liquid chlorine in the pool the next day and then the day after my party to combat the sitting water; GREAT suggestion and it helped a lot! Bianca got back to me Monday afternoon with some bad news and some great news. The bad news was my pool warranty was expired. The great news was they (Cal Pools) had documented all the work they have performed on my pump and were able to talk to Hayward and convince them to cover the drive on my pump. Bianca put me in touch with a licensed Hayward installer and my drive was replaced within a few days. The pool is back to being BEAUTIFUL. The reason for the Yelp review was to comment on the OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM CALIFORNIA POOLS throughout the years, but their most recent achievement I experienced through Bianca. I feel Bianca went above and beyond for me and displayed great customer service. She could have easily put my service request off for another day as I am sure she was in "Friday mode" when I called and getting ready for her weekend, but instead she worked some sort of magic and got Todd to my backyard. Finally, I am sure Cal Pools could have easily told me "sorry, your warranty has expired and now the cost of a new drive is on you", but instead they did something to convince Hayward to honor their product that was out of warranty and had it replaced with just the labor cost as my only expense. I was just blown away by the customer service from California Pools. They have always stood by their product during my years with them and now (despite the warranty being expired) did it with OUTSTANDING customer service. Kudos to Mr. Smith and your staff!

When we first selected California Pools, we were extremely happy with the service and attention to detail. The end product was perfect! We recently had a need to engage with California Pool for some work that is within warranty and a item outside of warranty. And they immediately stepped up and sent out technicians and the communication was very consistent as they kept me informed throughout. From start to finish, California pools stepped up and delivered. We sincerely appreciate the support from the team, especially Leslie and Cari for their terrific coordination!!

I recently had some warranty work completed. The work consisted of replacing some tumbled travertine that had worn away around the edges, replacing the irrigation clock and replacing some travertine pool coping. Previously my spa light needed replacing which was done within 5 days of reporting the claim. The Warranty Manager Michael, Warranty coordinator Cari and Edgar ( person who actually did the work with one helper). As usual Cal Pools delivered in a timely and professional manner. I highly recommend Cal Pools for having a fair price, superb warranty and pleasant people to deal with. We always speak highly of this customer focused organization!

After receiving several quotes from regional pool companies, we chose CalPool because their presentation was far and above the most thorough, and their pricing was below that of their competition for like pool designs and features. Designing, scheduling and building any construction project while dealing with the Covid pandemic can be challenging at all levels, not to mention the Arizona monsoon rains that decimated a number of their construction sites. Throughout the entire project CalPool constantly strived to meet the schedule deadline, and if they couldn't, reached out to us immediately with updates that worked for the both of us. I would highly recommend CalPool to anyone interested in a future pool project!!! Thank you for such a beautiful swimming pool!!!!
