About 3 weeks ago my pool was acting difficult and I thought I had sink holes in my yard. I called California Pools for help. Mike McCormick and Jesse came by later that same day. Jesse fixed the pool immediately and help me understand what happened and how to prevent it from happening again. Mike was methodical but determined to find my problem. Once he finished going through the sprinkler system and it's layout, he had his answer. He did a great job explaining my issue , what he was doing to solve the problem and things to look for. This team was prompt and ensured that our new construction build went smooth. We had a few modifications and they made immediate changes as needed. We love our pool, landscaping, and the pergola. We use this area everyday. My favorite is they took my sand and gravel backyard and designed it to fit our space and we have plenty of room to move around and the colors were all coordinated perfectly. California Pools is THE BEST! We built a pool, spa surround, swim up bar, sunken seating area, fireplace, grill wall, and multiuse raised platform. The design is amazing and the construction process was a breeze. We worked with Darrin, Mike Lillis, and Marissa Puzz and they were all fantastic. Mike gave us a great design, Darrin was our project Supervisor, and Marissa was support staff that helped get all the work scheduled to keep the project moving along. This project took only 6 month from design to completion and throughout the process our team of Mike, Darrin, and Marissa was super responsive. Darrin picked up the phone EVERY time I called and if not, returned my call within minutes or texted to let me know when he would be available. Mike was the same way and Marissa was super responsive in "chat" through the customer portal. I can't even tell you how many sleepless nights I avoided because this team was so fantastic with response time. Additionally, Darrin and Marissa were super diligent in keeping the process moving along - it was rare that we went more than two days with no workers at the house doing something to help finalize the project. Lastly, we feel like we got a design for a good value! Mike our design guy was really honest about where to spend out dollars to get the most our of our backyard living and that is something I can really appreciate. We loved our Cal Pools team! We just had a pool project finished up in our dream house. The heated pool looks amazing, with a beautiful double waterfall in the corner. Robby at California Pools and Landscape (CPL) was fantastic to work with. He even reached out to let us know in advance that the travertine tile we picked out was on back order. He gave us some replacement options over the phone, so we didn't have to make another trip to the office to pick out new finishes. We really appreciated that! Yes, there was some delays in the project due to COVID-19, but in the end it was definitely worth it! We will use CPL in the future for our pool/landscaping needs. If you are thinking of getting a pool and landscaping for your home, please read this. About a year ago I had my pool completed by California pools. Our backyard space was a bit challenging due to the smaller size, and where we wanted the placement of the pool, with hot tub bench. Joshua Turnbull developed a great design based on our needs and we are very happy with the pool and landscaping. Our project manager was Leann Madar, and construction was carried out under the supervision of John. The project was done without us being on site, and we were kept informed at all times. There were no surprises and for a project like this, we were amazed. We also asked for a last minute change to put up a removable net fence for a family visit, and it was installed quickly without fuss. We have had our pool and landscaping about a year and we noticed one of our plants was dying, likely from the heat during last summer. I made one call to the warranty dept and spoke to Cari Grossman. I provided the info she needed and the plant was replaced within two weeks by their careful crew. We have had two pools installed in other homes in the east, and this is the best pool company that I have worked with. They are professional, good communicators, and are fair in their pricing. They do what they say they will do. I checked with previous customers of California Pools before we signed with them for our project, and I got the same favorable responses. (Be aware that the pool will take time to install, they tell you that in advance. So don't be disappointed if you don't get the finished completion date moved closer than agreed.) I can recommend that you can trust California Pools to give a great product, service, warranty and competitive price.

Trevor came out to help upgrade my Omni system and I mentioned the pool hadn’t been cleaning properly. I have a blue plaster floor so dirt is easy to see. He noticed the main in floor filter valve was turned off so dirt wasn’t being sucked out of the pool. My weekly pool service company never thought to check the valves despite routinely seeing pockets of dirt. Kudos to Trevor for solving my issue as well as checking my pool filters. Much appreciated!

He not only helped design the backyard and pool that we wanted, he provided excellent insight and suggestions along the way. California support staff like Marissa (scheduling) and Darrin (construction superintendent) provided consistent and excellent customer support. The communication with the entire team was great and the app that they used to provide updates on progress, scheduling and milestone completion was very helpful. With any large project, challenges along the way are given, but having a team that was focused on our satisfaction made the process much easier. I would say that CA Pools is not necessarily the least expensive pool builder; but, as they say.... 'you get what you pay for' and that was certainly true in our case.

We interviewed four companies and liked the reps from three. We chose this company because they offered a complete service of designing and installing and warranting the pool, hardscape, and landscape. We wanted one company to be responsible and in their presentation they discussed the way the team worked. Joshua Turnbull did our design and was very knowledgeable about plants as well as pool design. They are not the cheapest way to go. They are worth the extra cost. We had never bought a new build with HOA's to consider. We were not on site during process, and flew back and forth to approve materials and layouts. The process was not quick and easy, and it was mostly due to our schedules and my perfectionist eye. I see everything, from imbalance to off color to esthetic usefulness. We all communicated clearly with one another via text and email as well as phone. I sent tons of pictures and questions. They had great foremen working for them. Each process had someone in charge, and each of those teams came in and out with professionalism. The attitude seems to be consistent within the company. They want you to be happy with the results long after the work has been done. There are so many positive things I can say about them. If you want balance, I will say it wasn't seamless. Our project was big and it had it's problems. The impressive thing was that they sent someone immediately to fix any and all of our concerns.

They were very competitively priced and did not try to upsell us on unreasonable features, in fact helping us understand that some of the operating features that we had in mind were unnecessary. We are in the midst of our pool remodel with CA pools, so will give an update upon finishing, but I am so impressed so far I want to give a review. My husband & I own a home remodeling company, so we can more easily recognize and pick out a good and well-run company. I was impressed with how well they have developed their procedures for customer care and their systems and follow up. They are responsive to communications, with a very caring/no pressure sales that laid out options and guided us with selections. It's obvious they are continually improving, that they have good onboarding and training of their staff. Our salesperson continues to check in and respond to questions even after the contract has been signed which is above and beyond to make sure we are having a good experience. They were very careful to check out our pool, for we suspected it was leaking, and they showed us where the problems are. Even though our pool was originally installed around 1980, I believe it will be just as good as new. Stay tuned!

Absolutely perfect experience with California Pools. They completed our job in record time with the hole being dug 10/11/23 and the pool being filled in late January 24'. I think it would have been fasted but we actually held them up a bit. Donnie was our project manager and was OUTSTANDING.
