California Pools & Landscape Honored with 7 of PebbleTec’s 2024 World’s Greatest Pools
California Pools & Landscape was recognized with 7 of the World’s Greatest Pools of 2024 by Pebble Technology. Four of the awards showcased swimming pool design and building excellence through outstanding photography. The other three were World’s Greatest Pools Video Awards, which you can view below.
The annual awards by Pebble Technology International recognize the best swimming pools from around the globe. All of the contest entries were judged by an independent panel of industry design and Pool/Outdoor Living publication editors.
The CPL projects recognized by Pebble Technology for 2024 are located throughout the Valley of the Sun in San Tan Valley, Gilbert, Scottsdale, and Queen Creek. Each outdoor living environment showcases the brilliant materials, craftsmanship, and design elements that California Pools & Landscape is known for.

San Tan Valley Arizona Pool Design
This San Tan Valley sanctuary is a natural masterpiece, highlighting the pinnacle of outdoor living in Arizona. This backyard sits on a large lot, allowing several built-in destinations designed to accommodate the dramatic change in grade.
The large negative edge pool is the highlight of the design, featuring a large baja shelf, swim-up bar, and stunning tile wall on the front catch basin. The raised water wall provides an elevated seating area and has three smooth-flow scupper water features.
Designer Aaron Heninger maximized this outdoor living environment and created an ultimate Arizona backyard. This project was awarded both a 2024 World’s Greatest Pools Award for its photography and a 2024 World’s Greatest Pools Video Award.
This dynamic design continues to receive accolades, as the Southwest Hardscape Association also awarded it the 2023 1st Place Residential Swimming Pools for specialty pavers.
Scottsdale Arizona Pool Design
This Scottsdale backyard could serve as its own resort, featuring a stunning layout with changes in elevation and destinations throughout the large lot. Designer Joshua Turnbull created this space around a negative-edge pool with a large baja shelf, zero-edge elevated spa, raised water feature wall, and a swim-up bar with a rain sheer that contributes a relaxing ambiance in this beautiful oasis.
Queen Creek Arizona Pool Design
This Queen Creek pool was designed and built for a Camelot Homes model to highlight a modern and sleek design for Arizona outdoor living. California Pools & Landscape designer Cliff Fox incorporated one of our darkest Sea Glass PebbleSheen interiors, Onyx, which adds contemporary elegance to the geometric pool. The large baja shelf provides the ultimate relaxation zone to enjoy the tranquil backyard.
Gilbert Arizona Pool Design
This Gilbert backyard was designed to include a geometric pool in the perfect focal point of the home. The depths of this stunning design carry the eye from the brilliant waters of the pool to the water features and fire pit at the end of the yard.
This modern backyard design showcases how clean lines and beautiful materials can come together for ageless beauty and stunning results.
This Gilbert backyard is no stranger to the award circuit, as it was previously recognized as the 2023 Cody Pools ‘Pool of the Year’.
Designer Aaron Heninger worked closely with the homeowners to create the ultimate Arizona oasis: a large play pool with a baja shelf, water feature walls, a swim-up bar, a sunken structure, and a stunning zero-edge perimeter overflow spa.
This Scottsdale Arizona rooftop pool for Optima Kierland is a sight to see! This lengthy lap pool offers residents the opportunity to exercise and plenty of room to relax and admire the surrounding scenery.
