A San Tan Valley Pool Building Experience As Refreshing As Your New Pool

We recently finished our backyard and pool with Cal Pools. While building a pool during the pandemic has had its ups and downs with delays that are out of anyone's control, we are so happy with the outcome. We went in with a list of wants and while all weren't possible due to budget, Brian worked with us to get us to a place that marked many of our boxes and fit our budget. Every single contractor that came to our home was respectful and SO hardworking. Much of this project was done during the extreme heat this summer. I was continually impressed with their dedication to the job and quality of work. Anything that needed tweaking (like a travertine piece that didn't set) was very quickly corrected. Overall, there were moments of frustration due to supply shortages but I'm basing my review on the outcome of the product. Duane who was our project manager was honest about delays and didn't set unrealistic expectations. He ensured the things were done as timely as possible. Thanks Cal Pools! Awesome! We had such a great experience with EVERYONE at California Pools! I highly recommend this company if you are looking to have a pool built! We met with Brian and Cliff and they were knowledgable and honest, when they left our house my husband and I both looked at each other and said we WANT to work with them!!! The design Brian came back with was exactly what we had envisioned. He was always quick to respond if we had any questions. I have already recommended him to our family and friends! Once we signed the contract the processing department, specifically Cammy, was so helpful with ensuring we had everything we needed taken care of. Our Scheduling Manager, Sara, got in touch with us right away and kept things smooth sailing throughout the whole process! We ran in to a few rainy days and she was always on top of letting me know what changes were happening and getting things scheduled and rescheduled quickly. She was simply amazing!!! Steve (our Construction Manager) was a life saver! I was so nervous to have a pool built since we had never been through the process and Steve always made us feel so at ease. He would come by after every step and make sure it was all correct and looked good! We couldn't have done this without him! Once our pool was finish Gabe came out do our orientation for all of the equipment. He was very knowledgable and when I had a question a week later I was able to text him and he took care of it right away for me! If there is one thing I can say I was ALWAYS able to get in touch with someone! They were all so good at either answering calls, texts or emails! We never felt alone in the process and that made me feel so good with our decision to go with them! I would (and have) recommend them to anyone, they were simply amazing!!!

I had a very good experience working with Cliff Fox during the design phase and everyone that followed after. He was very helpful in the design phase and had good ideas with many years of knowledge. I got my pool installed close to 5 years ago and still love the way it turned out. I recently had an issue with my pump not turning on and called Cliff. Even though it was out of warranty they still sent a tech. out for free to repair in only a few days. Leslie Gallegos the service coordinator helped me out with that and I have no complaints.

Great job by Alan fixing a problem with the water line to the pool and installing an extension in the fill valve. He was very efficient and answered all my questions. Thanks also to Kathy Venn for setting it up (and putting up with my schedule changes).

Paul Swirski is my Design PM and stellar fellow! He took my budget and ideas and turned my backyard landscaping and pool build into a piece of art. I could not be happier with Paul's work. He is friendly, creative, knowledgeable about softs and hardscapes, pools, structures and quick to respond whenever needed. Thank you Paul!

We decided to fix and update our pool, decking, and water feature. We are so happy that we chose California Pools & Landscape for our project. Everything was done in a very timely manner. Actually, the project was completed well before the timeline they gave us. Each phase of the project was completed as promised. Our project manager, Kevin, was great to work with. Stephanie scheduled each phase of the project and kept us appraised of the timing and who would be out each day. What a joy to work with a company that does what they say they will do, faster than they said possible. We highly recommend California Pools & Landscape!!

They build magnificent pools

My family needed landscaping bad. With a newborn baby boy we wanted more than just a pile of dirt in our back yard and looked very closely at who was going to design the place where our new son was going to be playing for years to come. I'd highly recommend California Pools & Landscape. They were very helpful and totally easy to work with. With my wife at home and me running around for work it was very convenient to be able to stop by either showroom (Chandler and Scottsdale) which was a HUGE plus. So, after much deliberating we decided to move forward expecting the chaos that comes with any home improvement. All I can tell you is these guys ROCK!!! They gave us a schedule, completed it as promised and our yard looks great. It's so nice to have a company out there that will deliver as promised. We understand no home improvement project of this size is without it's challenges. California Pools & Landscape will meet those challenges and make it painless for you. If anyone is thinking about getting landscaping done call these guys!

California pools was the most responsive from the time I requested a quote and had great communication through to the end of the project. They had the resources needed even during the busy season and shortage of products. We love our pool and glad we chose them for our project!

Our new beautiful pool has been completed! We were extremely happy with our team at California Pools. Dave did a great job designing our pool and helping us make our choices. Sara made sure we were notified on every up coming phase of construction. She was always very quick to answer an email, give you a call and answer any questions. Our experience with California Pools was awesome. From beginning to end, we couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. Joe McCoy designed our pool right in front of our eyes. (R.I.P. Joe) Darren T, Joy M., Sarese S., and Luis E. were great, they kept us apprised of what to expect next along with all schedule changes. All contractors were very informative and courteous. Last but not least was Pete B. He made himself accessible to us 24/7. His coordination and expertise is what kept this project on track. This endeavor was a juggling act and Pete kept all the balls the air. We are ecstatic with the final result and are counting down the days to summertime for that first dip in our California Pool.

I posted a year ago when our pool and landscaping project had just been completed about how great California Pools had been throughout the whole process. A year later I wanted to add a quick update to my post to saying my experience with the maintenance and warranty group has been equally as positive. Anytime I have called they have been friendly, responsive and professional. I had just a couple of minor items that needed to be repaired or replaced (one dead plant and a cracked tile) and they took care of them without an issue. There were a few items to address after my initial project was complete - I met with Jeremy who stepped up and offered solutions that exceeded my expectations; his commitment to stellar quality and full customer satisfaction are unquestionable. Todd Hutchins was assigned to oversee the second phase; the level of professionalism and perfection with which he executed the work would be rated a "10"! Todd made a point to discuss every element and get my input to ensure the finished product would be exactly what I hoped for. The crews that did the work were all TOP NOTCH. I called Emma Sicairos to report the problem and immediately took action and within 48hrs we had Daniel the super whom very professionally and competently fixed the problem and it's now working properly. We are very pleased with the professionalism, effectiveness and competence of all the members of your tea. Definitely will highly recommend this company to others.

We had a great experience and it was completed sooner than anticipated! Our super Adam was extremely responsive and diligent. Between him and Vina someone was always available to respond to a message in the portal or phone call. We got a few bids from other competitors and California pools was by far the most reasonable we received. We felt like the quality and products used were better than other quotes we received for cheaper materials. It was incredibly easy to make changes, talk through items of discussion, and bring up any concerns. I'd recommend California pools to anyone and would definitely use them again in the future.

Our overall experience with CPL was considerably favorable, albeit there were some issues that came up during the construction phase. Brian F was our project & design manager and he was ultimately the reason we chose CPL from the bid selection. Brian was responsive, accommodating and detail oriented. He assisted us in developing a design that we are extremely pleased with today. He also addressed a misunderstanding that resulted in a bit of a delay with our project; taking ownership and satisfactorily resolving the issue. Our project manager Pete B was outstanding. Pete’s ethical approach throughout the construction experience was commendable. If something wasn’t right, he was up front in informing us and immediately taking the appropriate corrective measures. His follow up was extraordinary for a guy that is handling so many projects at any given time. Pete continually checked in with us to ensure that we were comfortable and satisfied throughout the process, and he was extremely accommodating, making himself available as needed. During construction I had the opportunity to speak with CPL’s owner Mike S, and it became clear to me why CPL is so customer centric; creating a culture around the customer and their needs.
