A Refreshing And Amazing Queen Creek Pool Building Experience

We had a pool and landscaping performed by California Pools, Chandler. The pool is 10' wide and 30' long and was designed as a lap pool. We had travertine installed. The pool and travertine are both beautiful. The crews were knowledgeable and knew their jobs. We did have a couple of issues where workers did not show when promised but a quick phone call got them here the same day or the following day. No serious issues there. The landscape is beautiful. It melds with the pool and house nicely. The rock they used matches the rock in the front, perfectly. This was a nice surprise. They also used large screened rock, which is very nice. I would recommend them. Paul, the salesman, was very knowledgable and Steve, the supervisor, was complete and handled issues quickly and effectively.

This has been a great experience. We are 1st time pool owners/buyers and California pools did a great job! Very good experience working with them, especially Shelly. She's so dedicated to her work and you can tell she loves what she does. It's hard to find good quality people these days and Shelly is top notch!

My backyard is now finished and I've had such a great experience. The team made sure everything was set up properly and encouraged questions as we learned more about the system. We've enjoyed it so much! But working with Todd Hutchins and Marcee Walker has made all the difference. They are awesome and have been responsive, helpful and fun. The only downside to the project being done is that I won't get to talk to them - though Todd made a special trip out to meet with me and make sure everything was working perfectly, and Marcee got the couple of needed tweaks done quickly and easily. I recommend them without hesitation and am looking forward to enjoying my backyard for many years to come!

California pools was a great choice... We got several bids and cal pools got the job. Steve Reichmuth are project manager was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Make sure you ask for Steve..... He's the best I would use cal pools again if I ever do another pool....

They build magnificent pools

Just had an incredible service experience with Trevor. I had a problem with the valve settings between the pool and spa and he walked me through the entire process on FaceTime. Couldn’t have been more patient or any nicer. Great guy.

Our experience with California Pools’ complete transformation of our backyard has been nothing short of spectacular. What began as a mundane yard featuring a fireplace has now been redesigned into a three-section tropical paradise featuring custom pool, elevated fire pit, and putting green, with beautiful plantings. As an out-of-state client, we especially valued their “one stop” management of our entire project: from Brian Egge’s exceptional design consultation, to Sara Dougan’s incomparable scheduling prowess, to Scott Ford’s demanding project supervision, and the many subcontractors who worked tirelessly and excellently to complete our project. This complex makeover was extremely well managed and their communication timely and complete. But, perhaps the best part of all is that they are simply delightful people to work with. California Pools deserves our highest praise and we couldn’t be more pleased with our new "playground in the back."

We moved here from places where pools aren't needed so this is our first experience designing and building a pool. We met with several companies and chose California Pools & Landscape which was absolutely the right choice! From the design to build and then landscape things went exceptionally well. Joshua helped us through the design process and envision what it would look like once completed. His advice and expertise resulted in a beautiful functional design that we love. The build process led by Jeremiah was always on track or even ahead of schedule. Jeremiah frequently visited the site to manage progress and answer questions. The teams who worked each phase of the build were amazing (these tasks did not look easy!) Rebecca has been an outstanding project manager always on top of schedule details and keeping us informed of progress. She also brings positive energy and finds solutions to any issues that came up. This is an excellent team of professionals we highly recommend! The pool and spa are now complete and we are finalizing some landscaping items. This pool/spa is beyond beautiful, we can't believe this is actually our yard! Thank you Cal Pools, we love love love this house and yard of our dreams!

We Started thinking about a pool in Oct 2016 and went with Calpools because of the Warranty We had a tight construction window 75 days start to finish Steve Reichmuth designed and presented the drawings. We flew to Chandler to meet with him and change a few things but wanted the same schedule. Steve reworked the plans and we Started. After a few weeks we made changes and Steve made everything work. Great job Duane Yetton was our Construction Superintendent and when I mentioned the 75 day schedule he wasn't sure but it would be tight. We explained that with vacation plans it had to be done, he said ok and it was. Great communications and follow up stayed on top of crews. Then Luis Landscape Superintendent came and I Change the total landscape plan at the last minute. Luis kinda smiled and said well we'll make it happen and he did. His crew was great and finished on time clean up and all. Couldn't have been happier Todd Stewart Service Tech did start up and came by several times to explain things, I was a slow learning the tecky stuff but he did a great job. Matt the Director of Construction met with me on a couple punch list items. We had an issue with water running out of pool at the Hot Tub, (because of a location change I made to waterfall feature),. Matt and I discussed several options and decided to put a boulder at the edge of travertine and hot tub like the original plans showed. Matt had 2 guys demo and 2 guys run for materials they were finished in less than 4 hours looks great and works great and you would never known they were there. Thanks Beautiful job Dan Arnson

We just completed our pool and landscape!! What an amazing experience! Ron Arden, our Construction Manager went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of to my satisfaction. His communication was outstanding and the end product is exactly what I hoped for. Marcee Walker, our Scheduling coordinator was always available and extremely helpful in keeping the project on track. Both Ron and Marcee displayed grace under pressure and a can do attitude that made this experience an A+. I would highly recommend!

Todd Hutchins was absolutely amazing! Our project consisted of a 55,000 gallon pebble tech pool, waterfall, spa, 1 meter diving board, travertine deck, 2 fire bars, Ramada, waterwall in the courtyard, and a 1/2 acre of landscaping-We have an incredible backyard it is stunning. Todd made our vision become reality. Todd made sure our project was finished on time, construction area was clean, and most important he communicated with me and the contractors. Every job has a few hiccups, Todd made sure that they were dealt with in a timely manner and communicated everything to us. My project was finished last July and I thought I would never hear from California Pools again, but Todd still takes the time to answer questions that come up and make sure I don't have any issues. More companies need employees like Todd. Honestly, I can't say enough about Todd. Any company can build a beautiful pool not all of them can provide quality customer service while doing it! Jesse R is another incredible employee, that I have had the pleasure of dealing with at California Pools. I meet Jesse once my project was completed-he did my pool start up. This guy knows his stuff! He know everything about the Hayward System. He took the time to make sure I understood how my whole system worked. He still answers my questions and it's been almost a year. He will try to walk me through how to fix whatever I have called about and if I still don't understand, he has stopped by to show me. More companies need employees that take the time like Jesse. California Pools built me an incredible courtyard, backyard, pool and spa but what makes them different is their employees who take the time to communicate with you and achieve your vision.

CALIFORNIA POOLS EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS! From my initial meeting with my sales rep Cody, project manager Steve D, scheduler Stephanie A, and the rest of the team involved in my project - the professionalism and communication was top notch. Cody was on point with designing my vision, Steve never missed a beat ensuring all my questions were answered and kept his team on pace. Stephanie communicated every step of the project and ensured scheduling was done in a timely manner. I could not be more pleased with the process and team California Pools had overseeing my project. As far as the quality of the pool - one word - Amazing. If I had unlimited access of $$$ I would have done more but I stayed disciplined. For those who are researching pool companies - I am sure you will see many horror stories. As someone who did the same - I narrowed it down to two companies and the communication and customer service provided early on was my deciding factor. If you want a pool company that will will not only provide you a great quality pool but also a great experience throughout the process - California Pools hands down!

Cal Pools did our design and build a few years ago and it's awesome. We recently had an issue with a light in the pool and needed repair. Jessie R. was our technician and he was GREAT. He arrived on time and was very professional. He made sure he understood the problem and explained the solution clearly. He then made the repairs and everything worked great. He also cleaned up thoroughly and gave us some general tips and instructions for maintenance moving forward! Overall, a GREAT experience with Cal Pools thanks to Jessie R.

California pool did an Awesome job to my backyard! I called Les Lull and told him I want the pool and landscape in the model house. I am one of those difficult customers with big ideas but with limited resources. But even with my small budget, Les was able to present a lovely design, good sized pool I can do laps, big grass pod, flowering plants and fruit trees- it's paradise in my own backyard! Big thanks to Les and his team , Dustin, Julie, Wendy for making it happen! My only comment with Calpool is there are weeks with no activity and I was also busy to follow up. I have the impression that Calpool may have many ongoing projects, so it's best to always follow up. So after weeks of idle time, finally I emailed company and that's when Valerie Watson stepped in and took over to completion! She did an awesome job as a manager and coordinator. Responds to email. I would send her photos of pool issues and she'll quickly send the subs to rectify. Valerie is very focused and gets the job done. Kudos to Daniel Morris - very professional, he is the workforce in closing out the project! Took the extra mile by doing work himself prior to inspection. Very good with liaising with city inspectors, subs and customer in passing inspection. Impressive problem solver! Last step and most exciting is turnover by pool expert Gabriel, he is very knowledgeable and he makes it look easy to maintaining pool hahah. He's cool to my video recording his instructions knowing that's a lot of information to remember in a day. Very happy customer here and am highly recommending this company because of my good personal experience and the good quality of their work. I would like to explain why we are extremely happy with California Pools. We realize this has been a very difficult and frustrating time to have a pool installed due to COVID and all the supply chain delays for materials, which is not the fault of California Pools. Our lives were changed with COVID and many homeowners decided not to travel and spend more leisure time at home, thus the demand for pools has increased. This means an increased demand for workers and materials, which is a nationwide problem not just isolated to the Phoenix area. Robby Stubbs has been fantastic to work with from the planning and design of our pool to the follow-up when I had a few questions. One of the most critical factors in building a pool is the design, which is unique to each client. Robby did a great job in listening to our wants and needs in the design and helping us make all the necessary selections. California Pools has a Customer Portal app, which no other pool company has, where you can track your pool construction schedule and easily communicate with your scheduling representative. When there is a new post in your portal you get a text message to check the portal. There are so many different steps involved in pool construction it's helpful to understand the whole process. This has been amazing, to easily tract the work schedule and timeline without having to call and wait for return phone calls or be wondering what's next and when will it happen. The construction schedule is fluid and dates do change and steps need to be completed before the next steps can get scheduled. Rhiannon is my scheduling representative is a real pleasure to work with and responds to messages quickly. California Pools gets an A+ on communication which is so critical during this long process. All the different work crews that have been working on my pool have been extremely professional, courteous and efficient in completing their tasks.

As far as human beings go you will never find anyone better or any team better in the whole state of Arizona. Everything they promised was taken care of 100% of the time every time. The highest compliment I can give any one is they are men who give their word and keep their word 100%. They made my life so much easier knowing I had nothing to worry about and in the end it was perfect and we were 100% satisfied because of the excellent work ethic of Dustin and JOHNY. The pool looks beautiful and everything works perfectly. Every item that needed fixing they made sure it was done right. I ve built 3 pools in my lifetime and these 2 gentlemen were the best of the best. We also want to give a shout out to Sarah Dugan of the office staff who clearly explained the whole process from start to finish. You have heard the nightmares right? Wanted to build a pool, guy came got his money and 6 months latter there was a muddy hole in the ground and no pool builder. What the what!?!?! Well thats not the case with California pools they keep showing up and with one more experienced and polite crew after the next! In fact they won't stop showing up till it's the amazing master piece you had envisioned. From the sales team to the production team A+. Now excuse me while I go drink my margarita and float away on my fabulous pool!

Robby did the design layout for our pool and the finished product looks like we expected. Sean Beavers was the project manager and we were impressed with how well the job was handled. It is a very tight backyard and they did a great job keeping things in order, as orderly as you can with piles of dirt, trench and piping. Leann kept us informed on the timing. As with most projects, there are some issues that come up. All issues were addressed in a timely manner and absolutely no issues at this time. CA Pools was not the lowest price for the proposals that we received but we chose them due to the reputation and most times you get what you pay for. We would definitely recommend CA Pools.

The pool has turned out beautifully. I have really appreciated the service after completion. I have had several question on care and maintenance and was able to contact Gabe who responded quickly even on weekends. I would also like to add that Ruben did a great job on fallowing up on the stone work.

California Pools originally built our pool 20 years ago. We recently had them do a remodel of the pool and the same outstanding work and service excellence we experienced 20 years ago is still the same today. Chris, our project manager and Matt our superintendent did an excellent job of making suggestions, keeping the project on track and keeping us informed. We are extremely happy with the final product and highly recommend California Pools.

We started our process contacting 5-6 pool companies. Cal pools was the first company we contacted and our designer was Christopher Robinson. He had a design and prices within a couple hours. Contacted the other companies and no one even had a design within a week let alone prices for me. Chris was absolutely fantastic in every way possible. Any change we made he would have a new design and price almost immediately. There was a lack of communication in the middle of the build where we couldn't get a hold of the construction manager or scheduler, I contacted Chris and he said that wasn't right and he made sure someone reached out to me the very next day. They switched our schedule coordinator after that to a lady named Vina Ortega. Vina was a superstar for us. Her communication, knowledge, and all around customer service was top notch. Both Chris and Vina seemed genuinely happy for our family. I would highly recommend Cal pools. We are happy customers. Thank You!

We couldn't be happier with our back yard from California Pools & Landscape! Everything turned out exactly as we had envisioned. Jordan was the superintendent for our project and he really is the shining star of the company. Even though our pool and landscaping has been completed for some time, if I have any issues or concerns at all he is still just a text away. We are so fortunate he was a part of the build! As for any negative reviews about time to complete - I think it is important everyone realize that this is a very difficult time for construction in general - from material shortages to staffing insufficiencies throughout the entire country, everyone is experiencing delays and some things are just out of the company's control. We are in commercial construction, and we have experienced it as well. The most important thing to us is making sure we communicate these things to our customers, and Jordan always kept us well informed of any delays, etc. which we really appreciated. We have the yard of our dreams and it came to life because of CPL!

Leslie & Gabe couldn't have been more helpful when our basketball hoop broke. Seems to be the brackets came apart during a storm . The communication with Leslie and Gabe trying to fix it and coming back and forth was amazing! In the end it had to be replaced and they did it without hesitation! So happy we are a California Pool customer and will highly recommend them to family & friends! Customer Service is outstanding!
