A Gilbert Pool Building Experience That’s As Refreshing As The New Pool

I had my pool built by California Pools and I had a couple of issues with warranty items (LED light and pool controller) and in both instances they were prompt and helpful getting my problem resolved. They also follow up to make sure the issue has been resolved to your satisfaction. I am extremely pleased and would not use any other pool service!

Paul Swirski is my Design PM and stellar fellow! He took my budget and ideas and turned my backyard landscaping and pool build into a piece of art. I could not be happier with Paul's work. He is friendly, creative, knowledgeable about softs and hardscapes, pools, structures and quick to respond whenever needed. Thank you Paul!

Ernie at California Pools in Surprise was incredible! He listened, actually listened, to us during our initial meeting. He was methodical, knowledgeable and extremely patient. Ernie never tried to upsell us, just gave us several options to take into consideration. We appreciate his honesty, integrity and transparency. So far, we've had an amazing experience! I recently experienced two cracks in my pool. Noah was quick to come out to my home to inspect, and schedule service. Due to the hot temperature, the first repair was temporary, but held up great until the weather cooperated for draining. Thank you, Noah, for your incredible service and follow-up.

California pools has been excellent to deal with from the very early design/quote stages all the way through project completion. Our Sales/Designer, Brian Fox, was excellent. He not only helped design the backyard and pool that we wanted, he provided excellent insight and suggestions along the way. His knowledge was invaluable in helping us make the many decisions required to come up with our end result. California support staff like Marissa (scheduling) and Darrin (construction superintendent) provided consistent and excellent customer support. The communication with the entire team was great and the app that they used to provide updates on progress, scheduling and milestone completion was very helpful. With any large project, challenges along the way are given, but having a team that was focused on our satisfaction made the process much easier. I would say that CA Pools is not necessarily the least expensive pool builder; but, as they say.... 'you get what you pay for' and that was certainly true in our case.

California Pools made this whole process easy. I fully expected the build to drag out a bit....wrong! Every team that was here struck me as actual craftsmen, as professional as anyone could hope for. Anytime I had questions I could ask anyone on the team and get knowledgeable and courteous answers. I threw a couple of order changes during the process and those were handled with apparent ease. Josh, Dylan and Alan were the face to face folks I dealt with and were/are super attentive....very much appreciated! I elected to handle the landscaping, as such, it's a "work in progress", so I'm only including a coupla pics.....for now!Thanks to the whole Cal Pools team!

My pool was just completed. In time for the holiday weekend & the summer! Everyone on the team (from design to completion and set up) was professional, friendly, and communicative. The only concern that came up during the build was immediately addressed and didn't delay the process. We are happy. Thank you Jordan for building a great-looking pool!

They just finished my massive pool with grotto waterfall and waterslide. It turned out amazing. My contact through the entire process was Marcee Walker.... she did such an amazing job keeping me in the loop and getting back to me within minutes anytime I had a question. I highly recommend California pools... and especially having the pleasure of dealing with someone as pleasant as Marcee!

TOP NOTCH IN EVERY WAY My HAYWARD POOL PUMP failed out-of-warranty and CALPOOL assisted in getting it replaced by HAYWARD and then installed the PUMP at-no-cost; even though they were under no obligation to do so. Leslie was incredibly helpful and had the replacement pump installed the day after the PUMP arrived at my residence from Hayward. I recommend CALPOOL without reservation. Rick D. In a time of construction delays and problems facing all of Arizona's construction industry, CA Pools handled our project with the upmost integrity, honesty and professionalism. Our Pool and backyard is everything we could have ever hoped for. Joel Parron did a wonderful job designing our pool using references of a pool my late father built when we were growing up. Eric Collins our construction manager was up front and honest about every step of the way helping navigate a very difficult time with the construction industry during the pandemic. Nadine Chapman helped keep our schedule in order so I was never surprised when a construction team would show up. The company's app helped make communication a breeze. My family and I would recommend them completely!

We just recently had our pool built by California Pools and we are so happy with how it turned out! It was kind of a lengthy process, but everything looks so great, it was worth the wait. Our Construction Manager Matt White was absolutely awesome! He was super attentive, and always looking out for us. He always had our best interests in mind, and strived to make our pool exactly how we envisioned it would be. Always patient and professional. He showed up all the time to make sure everything was perfect. Our Scheduling Manager Sarese was wonderful as well. She was always on top of every question or concern, and would send me emails outlining exactly what would be going on and when in the coming week. I never felt out of the loop, and I really appreciate that. They are both exceptional at what they do, and I recommend them highly! I think every single pool is going to run into individually specific challenges, but California Pools procedures address a lot of them before they even have a chance to become an issue. Now, that being said, I think there's a few things worth noting here. Namely, timeline. I think that because of these processes, it may take a little longer than another pool company might . But, trust me, you want them to take their time and get it right in the beginning. Also worth mentioning, it WILL take longer than just a few months, unless maybe it's a small pool, or you're having an existing one remodeled. We were originally told it would take 8-10 weeks to complete...not a chance. It takes 8-10 weeks after the hole is dug. There will be a good month before that happens, that you think what the heck is going on? Only a few people have come, and measured, and sprayed the outline on the ground. There is a bunch of stuff going on, just not at your house. They are getting the pool layout you sat with your Sales/Project Manager and designed (Shout out to Matt Sauer here...nice guy, fun to work with!), into a program for all of the different trades that will be building your pool. That way, they are all working from the same blueprint. Then there's financing, scheduling, etc. So, try not to yell at your CM when he shows up, because he doesn't know anything about you until a few days before he gets there. So, in my opinion (which I know, doesn't mean diddly), plan on your pool taking about 4-5 months to complete, and you will have a much better, more relaxed experience. California Pools is definitely who I would recommend. They are the best by far, and their people rock!

California Pools continues to demonstrate they're a customer centric organization. They will do whatever is necessary to achieve customer satisfaction. Their warranty/service coordinator, Chelle Aubrey, is an absolute pleasure to work with. She listens to your request and engages the proper support team fast and efficient. In a world were customer service is lacking, Chelle demonstrates she understands her job, cares about the customer, and has a great understanding of the products California Pools sells. Class act!!

California Pools and Landscape came to our rescue! Another contractor left us with a half-finished project, an empty pool, and a giant mess. After seeing our disaster broadcast on 3 By-Your-Side, the owner of Cal Pools actually reached out to us and offered to help. We have done many, many construction/remodel projects over the years. Never have we worked with such a professional, organized, honest company. They truly set a new standard. Stephen, our project manager, seamlessly coordinated each aspect of our complicated redo. They have an App for your phone that provides continued updates, alerting you to when and who will be in your yard, what the steps are to complete the project etc. Each subcontractor is part of Cal Pools, so they know their aspect of the job and performs at the same high standard. Our yard is beautiful!

My wife and I just had to share how amazing our new California pool is! We had the pleasure of working with an incredible team to bring our dream to life. Sara Dougan was truly instrumental in keeping the project moving and coordinating all the subcontractors seamlessly. She was always available to answer any questions we had and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with every step of the process. Matt White was also super helpful and caring when it came to ensuring that there were no issues with the start-up process. His attention to detail and thoroughness gave us the peace of mind that our pool would be ready to go when we were. And let's not forget about Paul Swirski, who created an amazing design that completely exceeded our expectations. He was always available to discuss any questions or concerns we had and really brought our vision to life. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our new pool and the team that made it possible. Thank you so much to Sara, Matt, Paul, and everyone else who helped bring this project to life. We highly recommend them for any pool project you may have!

This project had all the hurdles. The backyard had an 18" slope from the retaining wall to the back of the house. Then it was a hard dig. Then the footers for the walls were poured like slop. Randy and Dylan were phenomenal. They took their time to do it right and engaged me constantly. The outcome is a true resort transformation. Everything looks so clean.

All turned out well; Cal Pools has a professional group for all aspects of pool and landscape construction, and they work in concert with each other efficiently to get the job done. Stephen Dreher, superintendent, coordinated the professional team to a high quality result.

California Pools created a dream come true. Everyone was curtious and professional keeping me informed of the process from start to finish. Would highly recommend California Pools for your next project.

Gabe and Jonathon came over to my house to help me with my algae filled pool. They showed me the proper way to clean and install my filters. They reset my panel and explained that I need conditioner in the pool to trap the chlorine. Within a day of their help my pool went from green to blue! Thank you Gabe and Jonathon for your help, it was invaluable. And finally I would like to thank California Pool for their customer service.

Our pool is finally complete and we are swimming!. Awesome pool, have received many positive comments from neighbors and friends, we love it!. The period from start to finish was 10 months) but we were aware of time involved when signing the contract. We would like to give a big shout out to all involved in this project especially Nadine and Jordan, communication and coordination was awesome, crews on every phase were outstanding.. We can honestly say we had no issues with anyone or the process. 5 stars all the way

We now have a beautiful backyard after the completion of our pool and landscaping by California Pools and Landscape. Even during COVID, the project moved along well. The subcontractors at all stages were courteous, proficient and neat. Jordan Thrasher did a fine job as our project manager. A very special and enthusiastic shout-out goes to our scheduling manager Valerie Watson. She did an excellent job scheduling the various phases of the project and keeping us informed at all times. She was very quick to answer any concerns we had, and was unfailingly courteous and kind. California Pools is VERY lucky to have her. California Pools isn't the cheapest but as they say "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." Just go with them. You can thank me later.

Nicholas was the project manager for our pool/yard remodel and stayed involved from beginning to end. His design analysis and expertise was always appreciated. But most of all we were thankful that Nicholas took personal responsibility that our project would end well. We could always count on Nicholas to respond quickly, and to find the right person to get our concerns resolved. Thank you.

Our final result is wonderful!! We are in our pool every day. Ted, our salesperson, captured our vision perfectly. The process took awhile but it has been worth it. Can not figure out how to post pictures, sorry.

I would absolutely recommend working with California Pools for your complete backyard design build. Working with whole team & process was a refreshing experience. Communication and customer service was excellent all the way through. Steve is an incredibly talented & creative and designed our backyard better than I could have imagined. Sara is kind and professional and kept us on top of the whole process. Duane is personable and knowledgeable and did what he said he would do. We had put 2 additions on a previous home, remolded 2 kitchens, and worked with 2 interior designers, over many years....OUR EXPERIENCE WITH ALL DEPARTMENTS AND PERSONNEL @ CALIFORNIA POOL WAS FAR SUPERIOR TO ANY BUSINESS we had ever worked with in the past. The entire team at California Pools have been great to us! Cheryl D. welcomed us and made sure we were comfortable while we waited. She was also very helpful with helping us pick the color options for our pool. Mike L. (design & sales) has always been very patient and helpful. We started looking into a pool in the summer of 2015 but with us just having built the home July 2015 we had to wait until this summer (2016). He was great with helping us make a few changes and directing us to Nicole S. & Beatriz A. in financing that have also been great with the entire process so far. I would definitely recommend California Pools to all my friends and family. Cant wait to enjoy the pool!!!

Had an issue with how our cleaning system was working. Gabe showed up, and 5 minutes later it was fixed working perfectly without having to spend big bucks to get it fixed. Great to have such knowledgeable techs who fix things quickly! We had been dealing this this issue for 3 years and who knew it was such a quick fix. Gabe you are wonderful!!!

After researching the "best pool companies" in Phoenix I settled upon three companies and received quotes. I selected California Pools and am thrilled I decided upon them!The pool was complete BEFORE the date they gave me as a finish date and they exceeded my expectations. I was particularly impressed with the communication provided on an almost daily basis during construction from Sara Dougan - she was fantastic.A job well done, I strongly recommend California Pools.
