California Pools & Landscapes works with each client individually to understand their hopes, dreams, and objectives for their ultimate backyard. Our team brought this client’s vision to life and the end result was an entertainer’s dream!

Our client was a well-known real estate agent who loved to host parties and events. Her objective was to transform her backyard into a venue perfect for hosting a wide array of gatherings – from intimate backyard drinks, to afternoon barbeques, to larger soirees under the stars. She also sought to add to her home’s value. Understanding the real estate market, she knew that a well-designed backyard and high-quality pool and spa would increase her home’s worth and attractiveness to buyers.

Our client was open-minded and trusted our designers completely. She was inspired by modern desert designs, so we worked together in that direction. She was committed to installing unique, one-of-a-kind features throughout. We focused specifically on accentuating the desert landscape while maintaining a seamless flow from indoors to outdoors.

The home itself had great features to begin with, such as pocket doors that made the transition from the living room to backyard area effortless. The home also had a very unique travertine color that we matched to the outdoor flooring – increasing the continuity between indoors and out.

For the spa, we decided on an elevated look – giving the impression of a fountain, lending a striking character to this central piece. We installed a custom copper insert water feature so one could see the spillway from the spa to the pool, and included a waterfall accent. The pool itself had a dreamy Baja shelf so guests could lounge poolside, while not missing any of the conversation near the barbecue area. We used a rough saw wood arbor for the barbeque area to match architectural feel of house, tying both structures together harmoniously. We also installed a covered outdoor kitchen and gorgeous bar as another gathering area.

To enhance their nights outdoors, we built an outdoor fireplace with a lush, botanical garden feel. We used stabilized granite and step pads to naturally lead people from the spa to warm up at the fireplace.

For finishing touches we used specimen cacti to add both texture and color to the modern design and accent the structure of the pool itself. We intentionally played up the negative space, letting landscaping features compliment the architectural feel of the pool, decking and hardscape features. We finished off with bushes and vines to soften and balance the entire space and add flourishes of color.

Our client was overjoyed with the final project and maintained a friendly relationship with our team. She hosted scores of memorable gatherings in this beautifully designed space and had great times with family, friends and colleagues. When she eventually sold her home, she reached out to let us know that the backyard design was instrumental in the final sale of her home. We are delighted that our work together served her so well!

California Pools & Landscape has an impeccable legacy of bringing our client’s backyard dreams to life. We worked to entirely transform this client’s property into a desert sanctuary and sunny winter retreat! Our client owned multiple homes in several states and Canada and had an abundance of experience with large-scale remodel projects—including pools. We were honored that this family, with their depth of experience, said that ours was “the single smoothest project” they had ever built. At California Pools & Landscape, we pride ourselves on exceeding the expectations of the most discerning clientele.

How We Did It

As always, our team was extremely detail oriented. No feature was too small to merit consideration. We communicated with our clients regularly and clearly – all the more challenging as they were out of town for the duration of the project!

The family had an existing pool on their property, which had in fact been purchased as two separate properties they had combined into one. The second home on the property had been converted to a “Cantina” – dedicated to nothing but fun and quality outdoor living. This was a family that passionate about the outdoor experience and creating a space for their family to make rich memories. As grandparents, they sought to reconstruct the space to better suit playful young personalities. The original pool was aesthetically pleasing, but lacked functionality – it was long and narrow, better suited for swimming laps than doing cannonballs.

So we started from scratch! After demolishing the existing pool, we created a perfect custom solution for this outdoor loving family. We built a pool with depth and wide-open spaces—perfectly suited for jumping into! For the adults, we added a spa with sweeping views, marrying form and function.

But our work on this inspiring project did not stop at the pool! At California Pools & Landscape, we pride ourselves on being able to build every facet of the ultimate backyard.

We Can Do it All

In the middle of the family’s back patio, there were two support columns that obscured the natural view of the mountains abutting the home. These columns were not merely aesthetic features, but critical structural supports. To expand the space and maximize its great potential, our team engineered an entirely new support system. We utilized steel beams to reinforce the upper floors and opened the patio to striking panoramic views from their doorstep. California Pools & Landscape has the capability and staff to build anything and everything you can dream of!

Going to Any Lengths

While adding other essentials to this outdoor haven, we spared no effort in making sure every detail was perfect. As the pre-existing Cantina structure had been built from a beautifully textured reclaimed wood, we went to great lengths to obtain the same look for the newer features in the yard, including a lush arbor, outdoor shower, and shade structure. To create cohesion with the Cantina, our team tracked down and imported the perfect 100-year old barn wood from Tennessee, creating a seamless blending of old and new elements.

Beauty in the Details

Throughout the Sonoran Desert Haven project, we sought to complement the natural elements surrounding the property. We focused on creating an organic flow between the interior and exterior of the home and let nature dictate how we designed. The result was a stunning elemental synergy between the property itself and the magnificent mountains surrounding it. For example, boulders line the pool to create a negative edge, giving the appearance of the pool spilling down into the desert. We also used stoic boulders on either side of the pool to create a natural frame for the mountain vista.

Finally, as the clients came to Arizona from Canada each winter, we installed 1 million Btu of heating in this pool—making it a perfect retreat from the cold weather!

California Pools & Landscape comprehensively transformed this space to create an ideal home away from home. We were delighted to build our clients a luxurious retreat to make memories with their family for years to come!

This backyard has it all and a little something for everyone!

This gorgeous outdoor retreat was built for clients who recently had retired to Arizona from San Francisco. They were ready for good times in the sun and wanted to create the ultimate backyard space for the whole family to enjoy together. These were clients who knew what they liked, and we worked alongside them to create an at-home recreational space that met all their needs. The end result was a bright, open space full of elegance, fun, and every amenity under the sun.

Poolside Entertaining!

A highlight of this sunny oasis is the sunken, swim-up bar leading to a covered ramada. This serves as the central focal point of the space. It creates a welcoming, open feeling—encouraging interaction from wherever you are. Swim up to enjoy a drink without leaving the water, or enjoy your front row seat to poolside fun without ever leaving the shade! The seamless connection between spaces makes this a true gem for entertaining. The sunken seating area offers a total escape, with a flat-screen TV wall and a cozy fire pit to make this the ideal spot for evening drinks, chatting with friends, or watching the game.

To finish off this total relaxation station, we added an outdoor bathroom, complete with full sink and shower. This met a unique need for our clients – the layout of their home featured two large, en-suite master bedrooms – and no easily assessable guest bathroom. Adding the outdoor bathroom kept their home dry and the fun outside!

A Deep, Deep End and a Golfing Green

Our clients happened to be quite tall people, who took their swimming seriously. They wanted more than a plunge pool, so we went the distance and made their swimming pool truly cavernous, with extra depth and length for dedicated swimming. We added a flowing waterfall on one end and a bubbling fountain along the side, adding elegance to the views in each direction.

No detail went unnoticed in this project – finishing touches included Art Deco patterned tile to add texture and finesse to the columns supporting the patio. We also used two-toned travertine tiles in the pool itself, giving the steps contrast and drama.

To make this space complete, we added a putting green! This golf-loving family delighted in practicing their game without ever having to leave home.

Challenges Met

This was a large project in every respect—from the sheer volume of the pool to the putting green to the size of the outdoor lounge area. Bringing our materials in presented a unique challenge. Although there was a 12-foot gate off to the side of the house, it sat on a septic system that was not well equipped to handle the weight of truck traffic. Our creative project managers tracked down the owners of a vacant lot next door and secured their permission to knock down a side panel, creating an ingress route for our materials. It was a fine example of California Pools & Landscape’s willingness to go to any lengths to get the job done for our clients!

This lakeside gem was a spectacular example of California Pools & Landscape’s seamless blending of a beautiful natural landscape with a modern backyard oasis. The stunning lake at our client’s doorstep was a central focal point of their view, so we worked to create a space that would accentuate the surrounding natural beauty while still reflecting our client’s strong style.

Our clients for this rewarding job were an artistic couple with high tastes, high standards and a fantastic vision for their space. We worked together to create a backyard that was reflective of their personalities and keen design sense. We found these clients particularly fun because they encouraged our design team to push the envelope with materials and approach – we used the opportunity to incorporate unique, cutting-edge materials throughout and enjoyed every minute of it!

This modern swimming pool meets the lake with a dramatic negative edge as the pool’s water drops off seamlessly into the vista. With no fencing obscuring views of the lake, this free-flowing, unobstructed layout brings a sense of continuity and spaciousness. This design approach also gives the yard an openness and unrestricted feeling – perfect for relaxing and taking in the view.

With the same sense of daring, we utilized this property’s unique topography to create a multi-tiered look to accentuate different gathering areas. From a chic swim-up bar, guests could step down a level to be at a modern, multi-level outdoor kitchen, complete with trash shoot, drawers and cocktail area! Continuing down another level brings guests to a covered fire pit, with an entertainment area, widescreen TV and glam overhead lighting. Stepping down a final layer brings people to the spacious lakefront. Multiple layers were creatively arrayed under cover of a tiled gazebo, matching the home’s roof.

The existing pavers were a dark, rustic color that we matched to keep the project on budget. Because our client wanted a fresh, modern feel, we used white travertine on the pool and a white Marbella stackstone that brought the clean look they were after, while effortlessly complimenting the existing pavers.

Our clients sought a Mediterranean feel for the landscape, so although the homeowners’ association required a certain amount of grass, we added vibrancy with bright desert wildflowers lining the path to the pool. Finishing touches included a cool, modern wall with a wide window to showcase potted succulents.

One of the challenges of this project was the property’s very strict homeowners’ association. We worked to meet their rigorous requirements while still satisfying our client’s vision – from rules pertaining to trees and grass species, to setback policies and other strict technical requirements, we lost none of the glamour of our design while meeting the association’s requirements.

We are delighted that this rewarding project created a perfect sanctuary for our clients to relax, entertain, and spend time with the family! California Pools & Landscape is here to make spaces for you to make memories for years to come!

At California Pools & Landscape, we realize that each client is unique and will approach their project in their own way. Our design team can accommodate any level of involvement a client has in mind. Our Desert Gem project is a modern beauty and perfect example of a wonderful collaboration with a very involved client. This client had a passion for design, and a very specific vision for their property. Our team worked tirelessly alongside them to make it happen seamlessly.

Our clients were a couple who had recently retired from a fast-paced California lifestyle to settle into a more tranquil life in Arizona. They had purchased a gorgeous property at the base of Camelback Mountain and wanted the mountain vista to serve as the central point of focus in their home. During the building process, they oriented all of the windows towards the mountains and the pool area in the back.

For the pool, they were seeking a modern, industrial look that would both match their home well and complement the surrounding natural areas. They wanted the pool itself to be fashioned out of a copper-colored metal to match the industrial look of the home itself. Obviously, constructing a pool out of metal presents functional problems, so we were tasked with the unique challenge of sourcing material with the right look and feel that would also not rust.

Our team went to work! We scoured the region to find the tile material that would suit the couple’s vision with both form and functionality. Once we found it, we miter-cut the tile, giving it almost imperceptible grout joints and the appearance of a single sheet of copper-toned metal. We elevated the pool slightly to make it a focal point, introducing some unique lines, and built the entire backyard around it.

With the rest of the outdoor area, we took a “destination” approach, creating several distinct areas for relaxing. As our clients liked to entertain, we made the spa fairly large and added an outdoor kitchen. We installed a striking fireplace behind the spa, creating another seating area with jaw-dropping mountain views. We continued the industrial theme with a sleek metal-roofed ramada – which in fact was one of our most bespoke ramada projects to date. We built the fireplace with matching tile from the pool area, tying together the look with cohesion. We continued the modern approach with metal planters for the landscaping.

Throughout this project, we sought to create a seamless transition from indoors to outdoors. As the home had floor-to-ceiling windows, we wanted to create a sense of uninterrupted flow as people moved from living room to backyard. We used 24 x 24 Travertine decking, creating grout joints that matched the home exactly. We used natural, organic materials that lent a softness that kept the modern look warm and inviting. We finished the project off with majestic Saguaros and lighting that complemented the natural desert landscape.

For the duration of this great project, we collaborated completely with the homeowners. At California Pools & Landscape, we encourage clients to get involved as much or as little as they care to. For this modern gem, we enjoyed interacting with homeowners with such great vision and passion!

What’s your idea of the perfect backyard haven? Is it the greatest barbecue and pool party setting ever? Is it a tranquil garden designed for relaxation and the enjoyment of outdoor beauty? Maybe it’s something in between. Whatever your idea of the good life is in the outdoors, there are some universal ideas and design elements that apply to everyone who wants to create the perfect outdoor space.

Pools & Water Features

Swimming pools check a lot of boxes even for people with different tastes and preferences. They’re great for parties, exercise, and relaxation. Because of their versatility, they are one of the key upgrades when crafting the perfect backyard. There is so much variation in design and usage with swimming pools that there truly is something for everyone. Artificial waterfalls, spouts, and rock features add a charming, playful touch for both kids and adults, while grottoes and rock slides are some of the best ways to create a one-of-a-kind pool.

Besides swimming pools, water features run the gamut. You’ve got splash pads for children; grotto rock slides, natural waterfalls, spill pots, and scuppers that are key elements of an Eastern, zen-style nature garden; and fountains, waterfalls, and pebbly streams for creating an English or Mediterranean landscape garden.

Beyond their aesthetics and inspirational qualities, water features offer additional practical benefits for homeowners. They add humidity to dry environments, reduce noise pollution from nearby roads and houses, and increase the curb appeal (and the value of your home).

Landscaping

Well planned landscaping is a cornerstone of inspired outdoor living. Landscaping is not only pretty to look at, but it offers practical benefits as well. For example, well-placed shade trees not only enhance the look of your yard, they can also reduce home energy costs in hot regions, like Arizona. Not to mention, they contribute to the useable space available: picture a treehouse for children to play in or a spot to sling a hammock.

Creative landscaping is one of the best ways to make your backyard space your own. You can work with an experienced landscape design contractor like California pools & Landscape, to create landscaping that is subdued to emphasize hardscape and built-ins like grilling stations and ramadas. If natural is more your preference, why not create your own backyard nature preserve with lush plant life and foliage and features that attract birds and other animals? Perhaps you want to step into a vacation setting simply by opening your back door. An experienced pool and landscape designer will know how to create the perfect palm-tree-studded backyard resort for you.

Gardens too can be ornamental or practical or both. Stately rose bushes can be the perfect complement to a working vegetable, fruit, or herb garden.

Don’t discount landscaping’s crucial role in creating your ideal backyard living space. It’s one of the most customizable, preference-driven elements of a finished design.

Hardscape

Hardscapes can be customized to suit a variety of preferences not only with creative paving patterns and unique footpath designs but also with walls and dividers to break up space and create gathering areas for parties.

Expert pool and deck builders get input from their clients on their style preferences and what they intend to use their outdoor living environments for. They then create a particular flow in the hardscape to match that vision. For example, if the centerpiece of a space is to be a swimming pool and the emphasis is on entertaining, then the hardscape should flow from the pool to built-in sitting areas or benches to perhaps either the hot tub or fire pit gathering areas. From there, paths should naturally flow to a bar or dining area. Likewise, if a serene, contemplative setting is desired, the hardscape might be broken up with natural landscaping features to create privacy and solitude.

Unique Extras

Sometimes it’s the unique custom-created extras that are the key to fulfilling the vision of a homeowner’s perfect backyard retreat.

High-tech features are all the rage these days. The whole “smart home” concept is being used in higher-end outdoor spaces with systems that allow you control everything from audio/video features, lighting, irrigation and water, and heating and cooling, not to mention the pool and hot tub controls.

For some, no outdoor living environment would be complete without exercise or yoga space. For others, putting greens are par for the course when it comes to backyard leisure. Buyers who are serious about entertaining couldn’t live without a built-in bar.

Perhaps your passion is birding or wildlife watching. A skilled contractor can create unique features to attract the native creatures of your environment and bring nature experiences to your outdoor space. Amateur astronomers and stargazers would undoubtedly love customized space for setting up telescopes and hosting star parties.

Whatever sort of ideal outdoor living environment you dream of creating, be sure to partner with a full-service pool and landscape contractor with the experience and know-how to build all the right elements. A contractor that specializes in custom designs, such as California Pools & Landscape, will understand your needs and can help make your dreams a reality.

If you’re like most homeowners who are interested in installing an in-ground swimming pool, paying cash would be a difficult (if not impossible) proposition. It is quite common for pool owners to finance the cost of building a swimming pool, and in this day and age there are more options than ever before to do so. There’s no need to let a price tag break your dreams of owning your own swimming pool. Most borrowers can obtain pool financing at competitive interest rates and favorable repayment terms.

Read on to learn about the different pool financing routes you can take and see which fits your situation best.

First Mortgage

If you are buying or building a home, you can include the cost of pool construction into your home loan. This is a very convenient option because you pay for the house and the pool all in one payment every month. The pool is treated as any other part of the home by its inclusion in the original home loan. Most mortgages in the U.S. are for 30 years, so the cost of your pool is stretched out over the years into monthly payments. Over that period of time, the cost of the pool will not seem as significant to the borrower as it would on a shorter-term loan. All of these benefits plus the fact that you can take advantage of historically low mortgage rates to finance your house and pool make this option extremely attractive to many homeowners in the market for a pool.

Second Mortgage

A reputable pool builder will have financial institutions they partner with to offer you financing options so you don’t have to look to outside sources to help pay for your dream pool. This source of financing is advantageous in its convenience: You don’t have to shop around for lenders, and your pool builder will help facilitate the deal with the lender for a smooth experience.

A second mortgage pool loan uses your existing home as collateral for funding. This type of loan offers the borrower minimal closing costs, low monthly payments, low fixed interest rates, and the interest paid is often tax deductible.

The amount of equity you have built up in your home will be used to determine the terms of the loan — the more equity you have, the better terms you can expect to be offered — however, it is not necessary to have any equity to qualify for a second mortgage pool loan.

Typically, these types of loans require that you have a good credit score. Look for second mortgages that don’t require you to pay mortgage insurance. Often, you can also roll your closing costs on these mortgages into the loan so you pay almost nothing out of pocket when you close.

Home Equity Line of Credit

With a home equity line of credit (HELOC), you are turning the equity you have in your existing home into cash to finance pool construction. As with mortgages, you can write off interest payments on your taxes.

A HELOC is similar to a traditional second mortgage in that they are both loans drawn off the equity in your home; however, a home equity line of credit functions more like a credit card in that you are given a credit limit and you decide how much to spend within that limit. With a traditional second mortgage, the loan is disbursed as a lump sum to be paid off in regular intervals.

HELOCs generally offer flexible repayment options, which can be the deciding factor for borrowers when weighing financing options.

Unsecured Loan

This type of loan is not tied to the equity you have in your home (thus unsecured) and is a solid option for people with good credit scores. Interest rates offered typically depend on your credit score, and more emphasis is placed on having a good score since you are not using your home as collateral.

Well-qualified borrowers can get interest rates as low as 7% to 8% with an unsecured loan. Also, the approval process for these simple types of loans is typically very quick so funds are available right away, which is convenient for homeowners who are especially eager to get started on pool construction.

Credit Card

This is an option for people who have great credit and high limits on their credit cards. One advantage is that you don’t have to put your house up as collateral, so this is a good option for folks who may have an excellent credit score but who don’t have a lot of equity in their home. If you plan to pay off your pool loan quickly, i.e. in under a year, you may be able to secure a credit card with a 0% introductory rate and actually finance your new pool without paying any interest at all. Most credit card transaction will incur a 3% fee on the amount charged.

Whether you’re just seeking information about building a swimming pool or you’re nearly complete with your pool project, there is a critical last step to take before you dive in: learning how to properly use and maintain your new pool.

After construction is completed, any reputable pool company should give you one-on-one training showing you all of your pool’s functions and features so you have the confidence and knowledge to get the most out of your pool. The following is a general guide for new pool owners outlining what to expect when the pool is ready to use and what important details they should inquire about.

The Finishing Stages of Concrete Pool Construction

Assuming you opted for concrete pool construction (the preferred option), there is often a special start-up or break-in procedure that needs to be followed to ensure the plaster surfaces cure properly. Your builder should already have taken care of this process by the time you have your new pool orientation, but it’s a good idea to ask them what, if anything, is left to do before the pool can be filled and used.

As for filling the pool, again, most builders would do this before your orientation, but there are right ways and wrong ways to fill a pool. This is a good time to get some details on the process should you ever have to drain and refill the pool yourself.

Once the pool has been filled, the company will add the proper chemicals to it as well as do a final inspection of the pool, and circulation and filtration systems.

You will want to ask your pool company how long you have to wait until you can swim in your new pool. You will also need to know when you can start using the heater to heat your pool. It might be necessary to delay using the heater. If you have a saltwater chlorine generator (SWG) pool, your pool company should tell you when it’s OK to start it up.

Pool Operation Walk-Through and Maintenance Requirements

Once all the post-construction checks have been completed, your pool company will contact you to schedule an orientation to teach you how to care for and operate your new pool. During this walk-through, you are encouraged to video record the process of operation (in case you need to refer back to it later) and ask questions.

Here are the key points you’ll need to discuss at length with your pool builder before they “hand over the keys” so to speak:

  • Skimming surface water for debris
  • Brushing the pool sides to reduce algae buildup
  • Checking and emptying the skimmer baskets for debris
  • Checking filter pressure and setting it properly
  • Cleaning the filter
  • Turning the pump on and off and knowing how often it should run
  • Checking the pool’s chemical levels and pH balance
  • Shocking the pool
  • Turning the lights on and off and keeping all lights working
  • Basic best practices for landscaping around your pool

Talk to the representative about a recommended maintenance and cleaning schedule. You’ll want to document and refer to a schedule that outlines the frequency these tasks need to be performed for optimum pool operation. As mentioned before, it’s also a good idea to record all these procedures as they are showing them to you on your pool and equipment. Any quality pool company will provide you with some written resources and instructions to help guide you after the orientation. They also typically have resources on their website you can refer to. Some pool companies will even come back to your home and provide free refresher training if you need it.

As for supplies, there are a variety of chemicals you should have on hand to maintain the proper mixture in your pool water. Hydrochloric or muriatic acid are common as well as chemicals that raise or lower pH levels. Ask your builder at orientation about what chemicals your pool requires. The representative conducting your orientation should also leave you with a pole, basket, brush, and test kit.

Essential Pool Safety

The last and most important thing you should know about your pool is how to ensure the safety of people using it. This is vital information that any new pool owner should know.

  • Never leave children unattended in or near a swimming pool.
  • Have emergency items ready and know how to use them. These include: life preserver/jacket and/or pole, cell phone, and a first aid kit.
  • No running in the pool area.
  • Always make sure your pool fence or barrier is secure by closing the gate. The gate should be locked when the pool is not in use.
  • Remove objects near the pool barrier that could be used to climb over it. You are responsible for the safety of everyone who uses your pool whether they were invited to use it or not.
  • Install and maintain good lighting both in the pool itself and around the deck and walkways.
  • Store pool chemicals out of sight and away from children and pets.

Arizona’s dry heat is one of the many reasons that people enjoy living in this southwestern paradise.

However, you need to consider the weather when choosing your landscaping and swimming pool materials. Doing so will ensure that you have an aesthetically pleasing outdoor area that is easier to maintain.

Shotcrete and Gunite

If you are interested in having an inground swimming pool installed in your backyard, shotcrete and gunite are considered the ideal building material for the pool shell. While shotcrete involves factory-mixed wet material delivered via a concrete truck, gunite is mixed on-site. One person handles the dry powder while another adds water during the delivery.

The compressive strength of shotcrete ranges from 6000 to 7500 psi, while gunite can reach 9000 psi. The stable material creates a watertight pool able to withstand more use and pressure than your other options. Steel rebar is used to further strengthen your pool.

In addition to durability, shotcrete is popular due to the wide range of decorative options. While other materials are available in predesigned shapes, your swimming pool installation company can create virtually any shape you desire, adding benches and other amenities as desired. One disadvantage is that the material has a rough surface, which can be covered with other materials for comfort and visual appeal. Additionally, this type of pool takes more time and money to construct.

Fiberglass

Fiberglass pools are available in various predetermined sizes and shapes. These are manufactured elsewhere and shipped to your location. The expenses related to transport can become exorbitant and the maximum width for these wide loads is limited to 18 feet. Lowered maintenance and speedier installation are two of the benefits associated with these non-abrasive pools.

Vinyl

Vinyl liner pools are the least expensive and are non-porous, inhibiting algae growth. However, the initial savings experienced will be lessened over the course of time due to liner replacement costs. If you are planning to sell your home, an older vinyl liner can reduce the resale value.

Your pool installation specialist will inspect your soil and help you determine the best location for your new inground swimming pool. In addition to the pool itself, the surrounding deck and other amenities can be included in the transformation of your backyard. From built-in slides to firepits, modern swimming pool manufacturers have a wide range of offerings to ensure that you have a pool that you can enjoy.

While shotcrete is the ideal material for most Arizona homes, you can discuss your concerns about the material choices with your pool builder and how to ensure that your pool is an attractive and functional part of your backyard landscaping.

To make your house into a home that you and your family can truly enjoy, you need to make it a comfortable and safe place to be.

Although interior decorating is certainly important, you deserve to have an amazing backyard, too. Rather than tackle this daunting task on your own, hire a professional landscaping and pool company to ensure your satisfaction for years to come. Consider these benefits:

Design Experience

Professional landscape artists are able to assess your backyard and develop a plan incorporating your design ideas. Their plans will take into consideration your soil, existing plants and other aspects of your lawn. From rocky or uneven terrain to soil erosion concerns, their expertise ensures your backyard is gorgeous for years to come.

Continuity

The transition from interior to exterior should be comfortable for you and guests. Whether you want an outdoor kitchen, swimming pool or even a mini golf course, your professional landscape team will ensure the entire area is aesthetically appealing.

Home Value

In many neighborhoods, practically every home has a swimming pool. If yours doesn’t, it will be more difficult to sell. By having a landscape company develop your backyard, including a swimming pool, you can actually add value to your property. Fountains, fire pits and other amenities are all highly desired in today’s market. Experienced professionals can install these while utilizing local plants and other decor choices for an attractive and valuable home addition.

Reduced Utility Costs

You can save money on your water and electric bills with the right landscaping. Strategically placed trees and shrubs will provide shade during the warmest months of the year. Likewise, a professionally installed irrigation system uses less water to keep your lawn beautiful.

Privacy

Even if you enjoy your neighbors, you need a secluded retreat from the world, including them. Your landscape architects will know the best ways to work with the natural landscape and your desired amenities to create your personal oasis.

Mental and Physical Wellness

Most people in the modern world spend too much time indoors. Fresh air and exercise are essential to your physical and mental health. From practicing your backstroke to playing a game on your half-court basketball court, a well-designed backyard will improve your wellness.

Entertainment

If you enjoy entertaining guests, then you will certainly appreciate the benefits of having your backyard professionally landscaped. Imagine your guests smiling, whether you are throwing a barbecue, a pool party or some other type of outdoor get-together.

Your home is your place of refuge from the world and to entertain those closest to you. Consult with a professional landscape team to start transforming your backyard into the private retreat you’ve earned.
